Review Mgallery Warm wellcome at reception. Spa was perfect and special thanks to the South African staffmember that showed us around. The room was splendid, beautiful hotel! Unfortunately we did not have a nice encounter with the personnel in the bar. We were welcomed nicely and directed to a nice table. Then it took 10 minutes to get attention of one of the waiters. Who were actually with 8 in the room. Out of courtesy I did not take a picutre. We ordered our drinks and it then took again 10 minutes before one of the 8 waiters had time to bring it to the table (at that time there were only 5 tables occupied.) Later that evening, we had the same experience. When we re-entered the hotel after a short trip in town, the staff in the lobby did not even spare us a glance. In the morning, I entered to have breakfast and ordered a cappuccino. The waiter came back to tell me i did not have breakfast included. I did not check at this point, so I just ordered a cappuccino and rejected the offer for a complete breakfast. The coffee arrived with lipstick on the mug. I asked for a new one, and while they were redoing it, I asked it without the cacao on top. Unfortunately the waiter served me a cappuccino wíth cacao. The third attempt was all good. Allthough we loved the hotel, the scenery, the room and spa, we are mostly dissapointed by the restaurant staff that made our stay less worthwhile. I would kindly ask you to redeem the amount I paid for the breakfast, since I did have breakfast included in my booking. As I only concluded after breakfast opening windows. Days prior to our stay we stayed in a 2 star IBIS hotel in Manchester, and later on in the Mercure Piccadily Station. I’m sorry to say that the staff at the other hotels appeared significantly more engaged and proactive than the staff here. Kind regards, Wilhelmina D. V.
