The Sebel was a very convenient place to stay in the city. Missing a bar/social area and the bathrooms could do with better tiling and updating but was good value for money.

It is disappointing to see that you experience a couple of challenges throughout your stay. While we do not have our own restaurant, being in the CBD there are some fantastic options including some within our building. At Sebel we do aim to provide the best service, and I am sorry to hear that a team member hung up on you. This is definitely not the kind of service we want to provide to our guest so please rest assured this has been shared with the team. Furthermore, in regard to the bathroom tiling, this has been shared with our maintenance team to address immediately. I am so sorry you had this experience and please rest assured that it will be addressed promptly. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you back to the Sebel again soon. The hotel is conveniently located close to the center of the city The rooms are pretty small and the bathroom is tiny with the door opening on an angle very close to the toilet. My dirty wine glass was left on the bedside table Overall it was fine and whilst the price was good I am not sure I will rebook

This is a stylish but extremely basic hotel, without a basic pricetag. A few key things needed to be better: having more than one staff member working at check out would be key (two members of staff were hiding in back office whilst the cue of guests grew). Collecting our bags at 10:30am took 45 minutes as we joined a cue of 5 sets of guests waiting to check out or in. At peak time this is a staffing issue. The “affiliated” restaurant for dinner didn’t answer the phone, nor could we place an online order for dinner through the app on a Friday night. Had to ask for ice, tea bags, slippers, and a cold version of the promoted cocktail as it was stored on the shelf not in the fridge. The rooms are lovely and had good lighting but those little basics aspects would have really made a difference.

Conveniently located close to St James station which is an airport train station, and Martin place station which is a metro station. Close to the action in Sydney but still in a quiet and safe street. Definitely recommend and will return.

Stayed here for one night after a work Christmas party, good option as a crash pad, room was nice and comfortable but lacking facilities such as a restaurant, car park etc if you were looking to stay for several days.
