I stayed at The Sebel Martin Place for two nights and, as an Accor Live Limitless member, this was easily the most disappointing experience I’ve had with the brand. Upon arrival, the room was clearly not cleaned properly. There was hair in the shower, un-vacuumed carpets, fingerprints on mirrors, and dirty taps. The bin had not been emptied and both wine glasses in the room were dirty. I reported these issues to the concierge immediately. I was given a firm assurance that the room would be fully serviced and the issues rectified while I was at work the following day. When I returned that evening, nothing had been done. The bed had been remade and the coffee restocked and the bin emptied but the shower remained uncleaned. It was clear they had performed the basic tidy up service. To top it off, I discovered a $29 "mistake" charge for breakfast on my card at checkout. It is one thing for a hotel to have a lapse in housekeeping, but to explicitly promise a resolution and then completely ignore it is unacceptable. If you value cleanliness and basic service reliability, stay elsewhere. There are far better options.
