I am a long-standing Accor gold member. I have stayed at the Mecure Brisbane Garden City a number of times, however this is more for convenience and price rather than the service - which is very hit and miss. On previous occasions I had tried to check in with staff, however each time was directed to the self-service check in (which I detest). On one occasion I was even yelled at for daring to visit the front desk, given I apparently should have known that everyone must check in via the self-service system. The last two times however, I have been able to check in with a staff member. Being a regular also means I stay in the same rooms. I have been reporting an issue with one room on five occasions since September, and I note the issue is still not fixed. Breakfast depends on what time you arrive. Often food runs out and I have noted on more than one occasion a reluctance to provide more. Twice now I have had staff walk into my room whilst I have been in the shower. This is despite me locking the door, meaning they have to use a key to override the entry. The room service QR code often does not work, despite me reporting this issue previously as well. I therefore only have one attempt at room service now before turning to online delivery services, which is more often than not. On my last occasion I was told that I was undercharged for my room, despite booking via the app, and would therefore be charged extra. I disputed this, however I was made to feel like I was a scammer and had rorted the hotel over $2. Stay for the price and convenience with the occasional good service, however don't go with high expectations.

These are not the standards we strive to uphold, and it is especially disappointing to hear that concerns you have raised repeatedly were not addressed in a timely or satisfactory manner. The incidents you described—particularly being discouraged from using the front desk, staff entering your room while occupied, and the way the rate discrepancy was handled—are of serious concern to me. I appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as they highlight areas where we must improve both our processes and our service culture. Stayed for 4 days and was thoroughly unimpressed. The breakfast buffet was consistently empty, and we had to ask multiple times to refill basic items. The room floor was dirty even after housekeeping cleaned it, and we were missing a shower cap. Given the issues, the stay felt overpriced. Hopefully, they'll address these problems to improve their service.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, with good facilities, but the location is a little obscure. Even though the Garden City shops and busway station aren't far away, it's hard to find them on foot.
