The hotel is beautiful in its hard product, especially of the room and main atrium. Yet there are some things that will deter me from visiting again. 1) The hotel forgot my Welcome Amenity as a Gold member upon check-in even when I notified them of my arrival time prior. I had to resort myself to shamelessly call the hotel hotline the next day before departure to query whether my welcome amenity had been forgotten. Not good impression for such a simple gesture! 2) The location of the hotel is undesirable and not tourist-friendly, so I'm a bit surprised by the exorbitant price the hotel is demanding. Xiamen has a competitive international hotel market, so there are certainly many more better options. 3) There is no sauna or steam room in the Men's changing room, only a small heated plunge pool without jacuzzi function. Upon enquiring, the staff said that only the Ladies' changing room has a sauna, but no plunge pool. For such a new hotel with so much space to play around, such a design and gender-segregated facilities is mind-boggling. 4) Lots of leftover food packaging left outside the rooms, early in the morning. This forms an unsightly view and clearly, no staff has been patrolling around to clear up. The gym is also laden with used tissue when I arrived early in the morning. This hotel has a lot of potential but still has quite a bit of issues to work with.
