We only stayed two nights as the original hotel we were in did not have a room for the additional days we decided to stay in Paris. This hotel only had outlets on one wall under the window and we had to use our converters. Bathroom had shampoo/shower gel but no conditioner. The bathtub was very deep and hard to climb into to take a shower. The water fluctuated in temperature during a shower. Complimentary water was in paper cartons. It was ok and the staff was nice but I liked the accommodations and location of the other hotel much better and would not choose this hotel again.

Dear Guest, We appreciate your feedback and regret to hear about the inconveniences you faced during your recent stay. We apologize for the limitations with the outlets and the bathroom amenities. Your comments are valuable to us as we continuously strive to improve our services. We are glad you found our staff accommodating. We understand your preference for a different accommodation and location. Should you reconsider staying with us in the future, please contact us directly to discuss your specific needs. Thank you for sharing your experience. Warm regards, Hotel Mercure Paris Gare Montparnasse TGV

Service from reception good. Easy to check in and out. Breakfast was good. Everything else was awful. Food absolute rubbish. Bar run by 1 person overwhelmed. Ran out of glasses, beer some wine. Absolute failure to manage hospitality services. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dear Mr. S., thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your kind words about our reception and breakfast service. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with the food quality and bar service. Your comments will be shared with our team for improvement. Regards, Hotel Mercure Paris Gare Montparnasse TGV.

I booked and paid online. On arrival no record of payment despite me showing receipt so I was charged again. I have since sent proof of prepayment, including an outrageous 189 Us dollar booking fee, but have had no response. On arrival the room had not been cleaned, toilet unflushed, dirty towel, bin full of rubbish

I stayed in a double superior room with my two sons. The room is in desperate need of refurbishment. I would have wished the room to be cleaner. It was very small. The bed was very comfortable. Truthfully I expected for the room to be luxurious, but it did not feel it. The breakfast was very good. However on a number of occasions the coffee cups and or cutlery was not clean. I found the staff nice enough, but they did not go out of their way to be helpful. Unfortunately their English skills very quite limited. I also did not like that there was not a proper reception desk and very limited amount of staff members there to help for the size of the hotel. The fan in the bathroom was not working, I complained on the first night and asked if it could please be fixed. I was assured it would be the next day. It did not get fixed even after asking at reception again. The bathroom was very uncomfortable after someone had a shower because of this.

D.h. Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

On business in Paris area stayed for three nights. Hotel is well positioned with Montparnasse and station nearby and looks elegant from the outside and the reception. However upon going into the accomodation areas its a different story, from my experience on the 5th floor and room 524. The carpet on the 5th floor is very worn, and well past replacement. The room itself is basic but mostly comfortable. I had to request for an ironing board and iron and what was delivered had seen a lot of action. Only one sachet of coffee was offered (caffeine free been the other option) and only two sugars sachets for the whole day. The toilet operating switch / button (about 200mmx300mm) fell off and left an open space. On one day the cleaner had obviously failed in putting it back and just left it on the side. Electrical sockets are put into a corner of the room only so charging a phone etc / or switching off morning alarms needs to properly get out of bed as there is nothing by the bedside. For the over 700 Euros I was charged, for three nights, this has got to be one of worse furnished most expensive hotels I've stayed in for sometime (and I stay in hotels regularly). This feels like its used as a money making machine with little (re) investment put back in.
