A warm welcome on arrival and asked to take a seat in Le Riad whilst the reception team dealt with my passport and check-in details.... I was immediately relaxed and completely amazed by the beauty of this courtyard area with its open roof and the view to the clear blue sky. A welcome Moroccan mint tea and some macarons added to the perfect experience that transformed me from a little tired after a very early morning flight to Agadir to beginning a wonderful Moroccan adventure.... I was early, however the friendly, caring and professional team on reception arranged for my room to be ready before the standard check-in time which was really appreciated. The room - a deluxe sea view room was lovely, well appointed and had a great Moroccan vibe in the features and furnishings. The pool area is fabulous with a great poolside restaurant and ample sunbeds and luxurious day beds... The guys at the pool were, again, super friendly and always good to have a chat and a laugh with in addition to making sure that you got a sunbathing place that you liked each day and your poolside food and drinks requirements were well taken care of..... The team at La Voile Blanche were fantastic and the lunches I had there were 1st class! A real highlight for me was the chilled poolside house music.... which ranged from wonderfully uplifting to a relaxed vibe... I had dinner in the hotel on 1 night at Soul Restaurant - which was a fine feast of Lebanese and Moroccan dishes in cool, sophisticated surroundings.... Around 11pm the place turned into a late night bar and club with fantastic music... Breakfast was a fantastic experience every morning, with a fine range of local and international cuisine prepared and served by a great, friendly team and could either be enjoyed in the wonderfully atmospheric indoor areas of the restaurant or al fresco in the shade or sun depending on your preference on the day.... What a fantastic way to start each day of this wonderful visit. The concierge team were also great, helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in helping you make the most of your visit to Agadir.... a City and region of Morocco of which they tend to be incredibly proud... I have learned on this visit that it is the people from this area that help make it so enjoyable... naturally friendly, helpful and happy to talk with you and/or share a laugh.... Le Riad turns into a wonderfully atmospheric bar area in the evening, its sliding roof sometimes open to show the night sky... Once again the bar and service team made this place extra special.... I was lucky enough to move to a suite for the final 2 nights of my stay, which was a truly fantastic space - I think that may be a 'must have' for my return visit with my wife and daughter... This is one of the best complete hotel experiences that I have had either within or outside of the Accor Group. I look forward to my next visit to The Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort... and would heartily recommend the hotel to any discerning traveller who enjoys the finer things in life delivered by a wonderful, naturally friendly team. Thank You for making my first visit to Morocco so enjoyable and memorable!

From the moment you step in, everything is taken care of for you. You get a cold towel, they take your luggage and you relax in the beautiful open air lobby with a free drink until they bring over the payment machine. I was upgraded to a suite for free which was amazing. The room service is good quality and fast and they give you a great selection of biscuits and fruit when you first get to your room. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. There is ample room in the wardrobe to organise your clothes and bags for shoes as well as a safe and mini fridge. The beds are made for you in the evening and they give you some more little Moroccan sweets next to your bed. It’s located directly next to the beach and has a great area to leave your things on loungers and enjoy the ocean if you’re a solo traveller like me. The pool is beautiful and the range of huge beds and loungers is fantastic, you can also order drinks poolside as well. There were two small issues however, I found some ants in the room which must be coming in from the terrace, and the terrace seemed to be covered in paint flakes that was peeling off the walls, but this did not ruin my experience at all. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel obviously in the middle of renovation so noisy around the pool with work going on in heated pool. Room advertised with smart tv but couldn’t watch anything in the evenings as reception said Netflix and ability to screen cast had been switched off. Nespresso machine in room which had pods but no milk made available. Difficult just to grab a quick drink or coffee around the pool. Went inside to grab a coffee and was charged 200MAD for 2 coffees in take away cups! Cocktails not made well considering what you’re paying for them. 240MAD for a very watery pina colada and a small glass of wine. Felt like hotel was semi closed going out of season. Quite a few bar items not available.
