From arrival to the room to the food, each was a pleasant surprise. The hotel and the service was above expectation and meant for a very relaxing and enjoyable family break. The hotel stands head and shoulders above all other hotels in the location, and it is exemplified in the daily beach clean which is unique to the area.

Great experience, and comfortable stay. Made to feel welcome by everyone. We were kindly upgraded to a villa and the staff were very accommodating with a late check out, which massively helped with the kids where we got to spend more time in the hotel during the day. The butlers Oussama and Yassine were really helpful all the time. Food was great, but we felt the range of cuisine could have been a bit broader. But there was flexibility with being able to order things from different menus, except in the Japanese restaurant. The gym and spa were great, as well as the pool and beach.

This was our 1st time to Morocco and the Fairmont. It was a very positive experience. My dealings with the hotel in advance were good in terms of requesting rooms next to each other and arranging transfers from the airport. We were upgraded on arrival which was also a very positive experience at 10pm when we finally arrived. Laila our housekeeper was excellent and did a fantastic job of cleaning and tidying our rooms everyday. The Fairmont was very good. My only areas for improvement would be the chaotic beef and reef restaurant and pool service. Beef & Reef seems to have a lot of staff but lacks organisation. It takes a long time to order and receive your food and when busy, as it was one lunchtime, was chaotic at best, shambolic at worse. Everyone is very polite but it shouldn’t take 2 hours for a family of 4 to have lunch. The pool service whilst polite, lacks enough people to provide a fast and efficient service. It took sometimes 30 mins to get a drink. That’s too long. The Tapa Wine Bar was excellent and the manager First class as were the other staff. When very windy, some restaurants would benefit from better wind breaks due to the restriction on inside eating. Adil at the paddle court was very helpful and attentive. The concierge team were also helpful but perhaps should liaise better with the tennis court booking team at the Hilton to ensure the court is playable before guests go there. As a clay court, when it rains it will likely be unplayable which was not made clear to me so I spent $20 on two taxis for no benefit.

The reservations procedure was rather tortuous- bearing in mind that we made our reservations almost 6 months ago, but it was difficult to secure confirmation. As it happened, the rooms were comfortable and well-located overlooking the ocean. Staff were very amenable , but the service in some of the restaurants was somewhat chaotic, and it sometimes took a long time for dishes to arrive- which is a problem with infant children.
