This was our honeymoon and we came with our 11 month baby. We had a lovely room which was a spacious junior suite. The hotel facilities were very nice and the bed was so comfortable. However for a 5* hotel I would have expected so much more in terms of quality of service.
Starting with the positive I thought the concierge was very helpful. They gave restaurant advice and organised numerous taxis. Reception on the other hand was painfully slow. Both checking in and out took over 30 minutes each. Neither should have taken that long. Staff weren’t available, were too busy to help or took too long to do relatively simple tasks - especially when I had pre checked in. The orientation tour by Yasmina was helpful and appreciated.
My main frustrations were with the restaurant and pool staff. In the restaurants there were so many staff but nobody seemed to be able to resolve the issue. Then a common frustration was when you got hold of someone they would pass you off to someone else or simply do nothing about it. Ordering a drink you’d be told no, I need to get someone else. When it took 50 mins for our children’s meal to arrive at La Plage it took over 5 minutes to catch someone’s attention and then we were told they needed to check with someone else. It was infuriating when our child is starving. We were then trying to leave but forced to have a children’s meal including a pudding because that’s what the menu said. Why couldn’t we just pay for the main course only? We ended up having to leave without the dessert which we had to pay for as they said it would take another 20 minutes for it to arrive. It was 4:30 when we ordered, we had to leave at 6pm. In La Corail our mains took over 60 minutes to arrive. We were asked twice if we wanted to order mains because we had clearly been forgotten about. It was just so painful and when we complained the manager didn’t turn up.
Around the pool the hotel must miss out on SO much revenue because the staff simply don’t bother to take orders or check on guests. There seems no appetite to see if people are okay, give out menus, take ordered etc. We would have ordered a lot more drinks if we could find someone to place an order. Often we didn’t bother because we couldn’t be bothered walking around in the heat to find someone. Towels were also an issue for so many guests. There were never enough and seemingly the only way to get any was to pay Zinnedine a bribe to get you some. If you didn’t then you’d have to ask or walk yourself to get one.
When it came to our room we liked it but didn’t feel the cleaning was to standard. Our baby ended up with so much dust and hair on his baby toys I spent at least 15 mins a day cleaning them. The evening water service was good though.
Also at breakfast being presented with an ala carte menu with prices on for things like omlettes and coffees. Nobody explained these were included but there were prices on the menu given like fried eggs was an optional extra. Also felt the pool food menu was limited. There just didn’t seem much choice on there and could have been better

1st world problems.... checking in, sliw, asking if we have breakfast included, when literally just checked us in. Providing priced breakfast menues when included with not explanation or thought having taken room number so should know. Not cleaning cups etc until i left a review, breakfast lacking options and flies around food. Staff around pool keeping distance not serving.

From the moment we arrived to check in, the experience was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Throughout our stay, we made the most of the various restaurants, bars and facilities such as the pools, beach area and gym, all of which were fantastic. The location is out of town, but peaceful and only a short taxi into the centre. Our room was clean and modern, with tasteful decor and facilities. Overall, a truly delightful stay.

This was our honeymoon and we came with our 11 month baby. We had a lovely room which was a spacious junior suite. The hotel facilities were very nice and the bed was so comfortable. However for a 5* hotel I would have expected so much more in terms of quality of service.
Starting with the positive I thought the concierge was very helpful. They gave restaurant advice and organised numerous taxis. Reception on the other hand was painfully slow. Both checking in and out took over 30 minutes each. Neither should have taken that long. Staff weren’t available, were too busy to help or took too long to do relatively simple tasks - especially when I had pre checked in. The orientation tour by Yasmina was helpful and appreciated.
My main frustrations were with the restaurant and pool staff. In the restaurants there were so many staff but nobody seemed to be able to resolve the issue. Then a common frustration was when you got hold of someone they would pass you off to someone else or simply do nothing about it. Ordering a drink you’d be told no, I need to get someone else. When it took 50 mins for our children’s meal to arrive at La Plage it took over 5 minutes to catch someone’s attention and then we were told they needed to check with someone else. It was infuriating when our child is starving. We were then trying to leave but forced to have a children’s meal including a pudding because that’s what the menu said. Why couldn’t we just pay for the main course only? We ended up having to leave without the dessert which we had to pay for as they said it would take another 20 minutes for it to arrive. It was 4:30 when we ordered, we had to leave at 6pm. In La Corail our mains took over 60 minutes to arrive. We were asked twice if we wanted to order mains because we had clearly been forgotten about. It was just so painful and when we complained the manager didn’t turn up.
Around the pool the hotel must miss out on SO much revenue because the staff simply don’t bother to take orders or check on guests. There seems no appetite to see if people are okay, give out menus, take ordered etc. We would have ordered a lot more drinks if we could find someone to place an order. Often we didn’t bother because we couldn’t be bothered walking around in the heat to find someone. Towels were also an issue for so many guests. There were never enough and seemingly the only way to get any was to pay Zinnedine a bribe to get you some. If you didn’t then you’d have to ask or walk yourself to get one.
When it came to our room we liked it but didn’t feel the cleaning was to standard. Our baby ended up with so much dust and hair on his baby toys I spent at least 15 mins a day cleaning them. The evening water service was good though.
Also at breakfast being presented with an ala carte menu with prices on for things like omlettes and coffees. Nobody explained these were included but there were prices on the menu given like fried eggs was an optional extra. Also felt the pool food menu was limited. There just didn’t seem much choice on there and could have been better

From the moment we arrived to check in, the experience was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Throughout our stay, we made the most of the various restaurants, bars and facilities such as the pools, beach area and gym, all of which were fantastic. Overall the hotel is good but if following is improved or implemented
1. The swimming pools area is like a maze, every where is plants and the pools atleast to be visible when standing from the entrance

Lovely calm and serene setting for the hotel with lots of plants to allow plenty of quiet semi private areas to relax. The pool areas weren’t busy ( we were there mid September) so there was no problem getting sunbeds and poolstaff always helpful. Staff were helpful friendly and provided very good service. We had a room upgrade which further enhanced our stay. Food was good but not exceptional. We enjoyed ‘Moroccan’ night at the buffet restaurant but this restaurant on other nights was very quiet and lacked atmosphere. Breakfast was good. I would stay again.

I booked a 6 night stay at the Sofitel and enjoyed every moment of my holiday. I thought that it was a perfect location, with just a short taxi ride away from the places I wanted to visit.
Every member of staff who I came across were extremely and genuinely friendly. All of the staff worked so very hard and are a credit to your hotel.
Food was delicious at breakfast time and I also enjoyed my meals at the beach bar and the Spanish tapas restaurant.
It was an amazing and very relaxing holiday for me and I was so sad when my holiday came to an end.
I have recommended your hotel to many of my friends and I will most certainly try and get to visit you again next September.

All in all our stay was very comfortable. The highlights were the amazing breakfast, the overall garden and pool area of the hotel and the exceptional attentive housekeeping. Unfortunately one incident with the pool staff, where our order was forgotten and the staff didn't care at all, made our stay for a short time a little uncomfortable. The pool staff was rather rude and they were disturbing the guests while having definitely private conversations and laughing at the pool. I would suggest to an additional training for the staff. All the rest was perfect.

We had a fantastic stay at your beautiful seaside resort in Agadir. The setting, atmosphere and overall experience were truly wonderful, which is why I gave you a rating of 10.
I would nevertheless like to share one private observation. At the front desk, I was not treated as courteously as I would have expected. The lady concerned appeared to be a manager, as she was dressed differently from the other members of staff. Unfortunately, her manner towards me felt rather unfriendly and did not reflect the level of service I would associate with Sofitel.
I was also surprised to see that I only have a Classic ALL – Accor Live Limitless membership status. I own an apartment at Raffles The Palm Dubai and am an American Express Centurion member. Considering my relationship with the Raffles brand and my loyalty as a guest, I wonder whether my membership status could be reviewed.
