Everything was excellent from start to finish. Miguel at reception was extremely helpful and so friendly which started our trip off very well.

Our stay with you this time was marred by the terrible noise from the ongoing works. We were informed by TUI that there may be some disruptions so we contacted you directly and you informed us that the noise was local required infrastructure which we understand is unavoidable. However you did state that the noise may be heard by the pool or outside areas but would not affect the rooms or inside areas. Unfortunately this was not the case and we found the only way to enjoy our stay was to go to the beach instead of staying by the pool which would have been our preferred choice. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the food was excellent. This was not our first stay and I feel it won’t be our last just a shame that the noise spoilt it slightly for us. Staff are excellent so thank you until next time.

We recently stayed at the Mercure Benidorm and overall, we had a pleasant stay! The hotel is clean, tidy and modern, the bed was comfortable, and our balcony and view were really nice. The shower was definitely one of the highlights — incredibly powerful with plenty of hot water! The toiletries and soaps were also really nice. Although, we have to mention the toilet flush… it's so powerful it seemed determined to spray water everywhere! 😂 Thankfully, that's only a minor issue. The food was generally tasty, although there were a few occasions where the meat was overcooked. The lamb chops were unfortunately like rubber, and the breakfast sausages and bacon weren't really to our taste — but being in Spain, that's something we're fairly used to when it comes to an English-style breakfast! The biggest issue for us was drinking water. We received one small bottle of water when we arrived, but this was never replaced or topped up during our stay. There was also a water filter available, but when we tried to fill our water bottle, we were stopped by a member of staff and told we weren't allowed to. We did receive bottled water with dinner, but we feel a hotel should make sure guests have reasonable access to fresh drinking water throughout their stay. The minibar was also advertised as containing drinks and other items, but ours was completely empty when we arrived and wasn't restocked. The maids did a great job keeping everything clean and tidy, and the majority of the staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly. The only negative interactions we had involved the same member of staff — including being refused a coffee just after breakfast had finished, even though we were literally only about a minute late and just wanted one final coffee before leaving. Overall though, the Mercure Benidorm is a pleasant hotel in a good location. It's clean, comfortable and has plenty of positives. We just feel that a little more flexibility from certain staff members — and making sure guests have access to fresh drinking water — would make the experience even better

A great all round experience.

Mercure Benidorm delivered everything I could want in a holiday: a comfortable stay, exceptional service, and a fantastic location close to the beach, as well as both Benidorm Old and New town areas. The staff were truly amazing, and the pool area was a tranquil oasis with soft background music creating a perfectly relaxing atmosphere. It serves as an ideal peaceful base for relaxation, yet it is only a 30-minute walk away from the vibrant energy and nightlife of the Benidorm New Town if you want to dive into the action.

Overall the hotel was a very good experience. Downfalls for me was the pool area. Throughout our stay the Balineses type beds were never used by anyone and we thought further free sun beds placed there would be better for guests ensuring all guests being able to use sun beds. Drinking was allowed in the pool itself resulting in most days groups standing in the centre of the pool with alcoholic drinks in their hand making use of the pool properly by other guests almost impossible. As the day went on guests drinking alcohol in the pool itself became louder and louder ( no doubt alcohol influence) . The fact that smoking is allowed around the pool area also meant that other non smoking guests ( which were the majority) had to suffer from constant smoke around the pool area ….far better to have a smoking area that smokers could go to preventing others having to suffer re health etc. In the main dining area the coffee machines were not working on many occasions causing queues and waiting to get hot beverages, surely a simple solution would be to provide ‘hot coffee ‘ pots to enable guests to get coffee which would free up ‘ machines’ for users who wish to get varied types of hot beverage. The majority of guests would drink ‘ ordinary coffee ‘ from such coffee pots.

The hotel was beautiful, the breakfast was lovely and the omelettes were outstanding. There was a range of fresh juices and champagne available for breakfast. There was service directly to the lounge chairs by the pool, and oh my goodness the cocktails were beautiful, always perfectly presented (best mojito we have had). The nachos were absolutely amazing, and the pizza was perfectly balanced. Genuinely not a bad word about anything, perfect service, perfect food, perfect drinks, pool was warm, and the room was beautiful and cleaned daily. It’s nice and relaxed while already being warm and friendly. Even when you just enter the hotel, you are greeted with a glass of champagne and a worker who helps you with every enquiry and explains everything to you. There was staff at the front 24/7 who were always available and happy to answer any questions.

We had a good night stay, the hotel was clean, staff were very helpful. I loved the pool area, would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Located close to the beach and other attractions. Everything for us was walkable. Food was lovely and a range of options each day for breakfast and dinner. Room was spacious and clean and staff were friendly

Second time with this hotel , lovely hotel but disappointed with the taxi service u guys organised for me , got to the airport 4 am to be told it’s not a meter service and I must pay 140 euro not the 94 euros on the meter

Clean rooms, good communication, missing cleaning supply in the fitness, pool is nice, could be more sunbeds around the pool. Good bar. Nice restaurant, didnt like to pay for 1 hour late check out but the option is good. Information about Road work would have been good in advance. Nice staff very welcoming always.

Was a lovely stay, hotel is lovely & clean and the staff extremely helpful & friendly. Breakfast was great - a lot of choice and good quality, it is also switched up so not the same thing every day. The pool is where they could definitely make improvements- I appreciate the beauty of the greenery surrounding the pool & outside, however, because of the trees you only have 20 beds out of possibly 100 (?) that get the sun - there is a small additional handful that get it in the afternoon but not til later in the day and the rest are covered all day. So you can imagine these are snapped up as soon as the pool opens and occupied all day, so you then don’t get any sun on any of the other beds. I do think you could trim quite a few of the tall trees back to make more beds have sun on them and still keep the beauty of the area. The pool could also do with more regularly cleaning - you could see quite a lot of dirt/grim and even wipes in the pool. The main issue though was people smoking/vaping in the pool - I understand smoking rules differ when going abroad, however, I am pregnant & there were also children in the pool and people thought it was acceptable to sit at the side of the pool or stand in the pool and smoke cigarettes & vape with no regards for their surroundings. I do think there should be rules of no smoking around/in the pool and actually be monitored. It’s bad enough people smoking in the beds next to you (which you can’t really do much on), but to actually smoke in the pool surely that is too far.
