Beautiful hotel with great staff

We’ve just had an amazing stay at the Mercure. Fabulous setting, modern, brilliant poolside entertainment. Food excellent. Prices reasonable and staff friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was quick if you asked for anything however our cleaner was a bit hit and miss. Near to the beach and the heart of the old town. Would definitely recommend and will be back

The hotel is beautifully decorated, really stylish and modern. Brilliant location, just a few mins walk from the beach and the old town. The staff were fabulous, all really helpful and friendly and they never stop, you can see how hard they are all working! The rooms are clean, modern and have everything you need. Only small thing, it was hard to get into one side of the bed in the room we were in (deluxe room), as it is at an awkward angle with the window. The pool area is really nice, we loved that there are lots of trees and plants around as it gave a really tropical feel and offered shade when it was getting too hot. The only thing about this is that the trees attract birds and they leave there droppings everywhere. Around the pool seemed to be cleaned every morning as we saw the staff out working hard, but the parasols and tables sometimes had droppings on them which ideally is something that could be looked at. There were people queueing for sunbeds every morning for the pool opening at 9am, but we found that it was mostly the people looking for the beds that are in the sun all day. If you don’t mind the beds that are partially shaded parts of the day, you could still get these up till around 10/11am. Breakfast was great, really varied choice and delicious. A shout out to the chef at the omelette station, the omelettes were amazing and she was so friendly. We ate lunch at the hotel once and that was really nice too. All in, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

This is lovely hotel staff are great. But the let down is the building works near by. Sitting by the pool was not possible if you wanted to relax. I would not come back till the works are complete but that a good few years away.

We stayed at the Mecure Benidorm for 11 nights in September. As the hotel was around £200 a night I had some expectations that I would not have if we were staying in the many available hotels in Benidorm that were half that price. The breakfast was really great. Food all very good quality and plenty of choice. Different things each day. At home I’m a vegan but it’s not possible in Benidorm in general so I to be vegetarian. There was even cheese on the cooked tomatoes. Cleaning could be better. Toilets at the pool had toilet seats missing, the reception ones looked like they had not cleaned behind the cubical doors for days. There were marks on the lift walls all the time. The pool area was a beautiful aesthetic but there are not a lot of loungers in the sun or in general for the amount of customers. Several times I went out there were none. There is cabanas, none in use because there is a 75 euro charge for them. For people staying a long time, like us, maybe you could include 1 free day for us, this would also take us out of the equation for the other sun beds? The location was really perfect for what we wanted. Out of the madness but a quick walk in and close to the beach. We preferred the beach to the pool, due to the shade at the pool, the noise from the road works and the ocean was warmer. They are building an underground car park at the end of the street. We could hear when the drilling was happening from inside our room with all doors and window closed and they worked Monday-Thursday 08.00-1800. I understand the road works are not the fault of the hotel but it is also not the fault of the customer either. Again something to make us feel better would have been appreciated to say sorry for the inconvenience. So yeah if I paid £100 a night I would be very happy with our stay, with it being on par with other Benidorm central hotels, but given we paid £200 a night, the standards were not high enough.

Hotel was amazing so clean the food was outstanding

We've been to this hotels several times. It's our favourite hotel in Benidorm. We always try to stay here when visiting Benidorm as we know we will be treated lovely .

We choose this hotel based on positive Tripadvisor reviews. We were very disappointed on arrival to find the hotel situated beside a major roadwork construction project. The noise is extreme from 8am until 7pm. Large industrial drilling equipment going all day. We feel the hotel should mention this on its website despite it being out of its control. The nature of the works also make access to crossing the road difficult and longer. We also found the pool area to be very small and shaded which meant it was impossible to get a sun lounger by the pool and created sunbed wars from early morning.

The room was a let down. I was unaware the Privilege room was so small. No chair to sit on. shower leaking.metal chairs on the balcony to hot to use.The cleaners not attending until 4 30 /5 pm so just swapping the towels unless you want to vacate the room. Cant change the pool towels unless you want to pay 5 euros. Not had that particular one before

Good location, only 5 mins from the beach. Super clean and grateful ambience. Welcome drink upon arrival and the staff were friendly. The breakfast offered was incredible and so much choice. Will definitely be back.

Hotel was further out than we usually book but was a good walk to the old and new town. Standard rooms a bit small but comfortable. Plenty of comfortable sun beds which you didn’t have to fight for. Very nice hotel.

Third time staying here, nice clean hotel. Modern rooms. Air con and fan on ceiling. Rooms cleaned daily and staff are friendly and couldn’t do enough for you without asking. Bar reasonably priced. Pool area nice and relaxing with individual bays and other various areas to relax too. Breakfast is really good, nice selection on offer.

Every member of staff was so polite and helpful. They never seemed to stop. The tables were cleared within a couple of minutes of you finishing your meal or drink with refills offered. The pool was lovely and a sun trap. The grounds had plenty of shaded areas if you wanted to be a bit cooler. The rooms are lovely and clean with the clean towels every day and even a poolside towel being provided.
