This Ibis is in a handy location, walking distance from major stations and very well connected for getting around Paris. The rooms are small, functional and clean. Breakfast is generous and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside from my point of view was external noise. I was in a room on the street side of the hotel, there was traffic noise including many sirens during the night and church bells chiming from 7am. This is not unexpected given the location but if you are sensitive to noise, take ear plugs.

No-Frills, Value For Money Hotel

Our second stay in this hotel which is within 10 minutes walking distance of the Gare du Nord for people arriving from Charles de Gaulle airport on the RER and 2 minutes from Gare de l’Est for access to the Metro for subsequent exploration of Paris. All staff were courteous, smiling and helpful and able to converse in a mix of English and simple French so that we could cope using our school learnings from over 50 years ago. Breakfast was included and offered a range of cereals, bread, pastries, meats, cheeses, juices and hot drinks. The rooms are small with limited storage for clothes but this should pose no problems for those staying 4-5 nights and who intend to spend the majority of their time exploring the city rather than being in the room. We intend to return to this hotel on our next visit to the city, hopefully within the next 12 months.

Well located, small but clean room.

Good facilities to keep your luggage stored if you arrive early or depart late. Small but clean room. Stayed 2 nights/ Airconditioning did not work the first night in the evening. Asked reception staff but they couldn't fix it. They said a technician will not be there until the next morning. Could barely sleep due to the heat. Window was also locked so we couldn't open the window for fresh air. Following morning notified reception again but this time we were told the airconditioning in the entire building was switched off so it was not possible to use it in 1 room only. Asked if they could unlock the window and they did. Overall a pleasant stay but unbearable to sleep when the heat of the day that could not escape the room during the night.

Hotel is well located, quick access to public transport. Breakfast had limited options but is ok. Good bed and pillows. The different staff were very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't be a problem staying here again!
