The view from both rooms and the location of the hotel—despite being the topmost property under the Accor Group—were extremely disappointing. There was absolutely no view, and the surroundings felt underwhelming. The area itself seemed low-class with nothing worthwhile around it. On the very first day, this even gave me the impression that Oman was quite backward and underdeveloped. Later, I realized that the issue was not the country, but simply the location of the hotel. What made it more disappointing is that this is currently the most expensive hotel option under the Accor Group in the area. I specifically chose it assuming that the highest-priced property would naturally be in the best location. That said, the hospitality was outstanding. The staff were genuinely warm, helpful, and extremely professional. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to give this stay more than a 5 out of 10—and those 5 points are entirely because of the incredible hospitality of the staff.

We stayed at Movenpick unexpectedly following flight disruptions due to Middle East conflicts and the staff has truly been caring, helpful and supportive. They tried their best to keep us posted with all updates, and really managed to treat us in spite of the circumstances. We would totally come back in different context as the hotel is also lovely, room is comfortable and they offer superb food!

We chose this hotel for our stopover in Muscat before flying onwards, during the crisis in the Middle East. All of the staff were very welcoming, and the catering was excellent. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed.
