Great location, great views, beach, food and service! The only problem is that we likely had bed bugs there!

Lovely hotel. The staff are exceptional. Very nice facilities. Great food - especially the Egyptian & Oriental nights. Dive school is very well organised with brilliant teachers and guides. Sadly the coral reef is mostly dead meaning that the aquatic life is in serious decline. This seems to be partly due to the high volume of divers and snorkelers disturbing the reef. It is a shame that the marine biologist (present in 2025) is no longer at the hotel to monitor the reef. Serious action is needed to protect and regenerate the reef. This could be no-entry areas, greatly restricting the number of divers, better teaching of divers and snorkelers to respect & not touch the reef and aquatic life, monitoring waste/pollution from the hotel, reef regeneration projects etc. The hotel claims to be aiming for sustainability but with so little attention paid to the decline of the main asset of the hotel (i.e. the reef), this appears to be a false claim. This hotel and dive school could potentially aim to be a pioneer of sustainable reef use in Egypt - which would be a huge selling point.
