The structure is impressive and the grounds are well maintained. However, the cleaning standards are shockingly low. The food selection was abundant, but the quality was quite poor for a five-star hotel — salads were served barely washed and often rotten, as were many of the fruits and vegetables.

We would like to address your comments by clarifying that during your stay, we had 390 guests in-house, and we did not receive any similar concerns or feedback from others. Our team works diligently to ensure that all aspects of our service meet the high standards we set, including cleanliness and food quality. We would have greatly appreciated the opportunity to address your concerns during your stay. We understand that you had contact with our Guest Relations team and Quality Manager, but unfortunately, we did not have the chance to discuss these issues with you at the time. The resort is perfect to relax and detach from the usual work stress. The rooms are pleasant, food is excellent and - most of all - staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good dive base on the compound as well as a reasonably priced optician offering the occasion to buy prescription sunglasses and such. The beach offers easy access to the bay for snorkeling. The 'adults only' relax pool is currently under renovation but should add to the excellent experience shortly.

Good location and facility but bad service and good

Food varieties and taste was very bad specially the lunch and the dinner in the main restaurant and worst deserts buffet ever seen. Pool heaters are turned off at night so the pool during the day is so cold and only start to get hot just before sunset by closing time. Long walking distances in the facility and not suitable for old ages and beach restaurant only serve food in the restaurant and you cannot take the food to the beach and can't be served at the beach. Rooms and location and beach are wonderful and quiet.

We would have done everything possible to ensure your culinary experience was more to your satisfaction. Regarding the pool temperature, we understand that the feeling of warmth can vary individually. However, for the comfort of all guests and in line with sustainability efforts, our pool heaters are regulated to maintain an average temperature between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius. On windy days, the surface of the water may feel 1–2 degrees cooler, which is a natural occurrence. You are right in pointing out that, due to our traditional Nubian-style architecture, our resort is spread out horizontally rather than vertically. This layout is part of what gives Mövenpick Resort El Quseir its unique charm and peaceful atmosphere. Already during your stay, we found a solution to bridge the distance to our Diver’s Club restaurant. This arrangement was met with your satisfaction on site, which is why we saw no reason to explore further alternatives. Kindly understand that food service directly on the beach is not permitted, as it could attract animals and compromise hygiene standards. Your honest and constructive feedback is truly invaluable to us. We do hope that the positive aspects you mentioned – such as the beautiful location, facilities, and the quiet beach – will remain with you, and that we may have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future to offer you a more fully satisfying stay.
