Quite good experience overall, a couple of important points to address: 1) F&B: the food options were quite poor, even with the All-inclusive « plus » package: only twice A la carte dinner menu in the week, otherwise the Orangeraie restaurant buffet was average in taste and choice, with very limited local food. Being at the Movenpick hotel and with an All-inclusive plus package, I think making the Movenpick ice cream available at an extra-cost all the time was disappointing 2) in a leading hotel from Swiss origin and now owned by a world-leading chain, I was very surprised and even shocked that the bazaar within the hotel premises was offering blatant counterfeited products, including Swiss watches, bags, sneakers, etc. How can Accor/Movenpick allow such illegal goods to be sold in their properties is beyond me. May I remind that not only these products are illegal, but the finance organized crime, including human trafficking and money laundering?! Having a sustainability policy in place is very good, but then Ethics is at the center of ESG policies and this type of behaviours is not acceptable for the Accor group. Of course I understand that the bazaar is probably not operated by Accor, but Accor should not allow these products to be sold within your premises.

Food and dining experiences can be quite personal, and we are proud that our scores in this area consistently reflect a high level of guest satisfaction. That said, we never stop looking for ways to improve, and your comments about menu variety and the All-Inclusive Plus package have been noted and passed to our culinary team. On the matter of counterfeit goods in the bazaar, we share your concern entirely. The bazaar operates independently and is not managed by Mövenpick or Accor; however, we do not accept or tolerate any activity within our premises that fall outside ethical and legal standards. We will be addressing this directly with the operator. Regarding your broader reference to human trafficking and financial crime, we would like to assure you that Accor takes these matters with the utmost seriousness. The Group is currently conducting a thorough internal investigation supported by an independent external firm, and all findings will be made public. Accor does not encourage or accept any conduct that is not fully ESG compliant, and this commitment extends to every property operating under its brands. We hope this response gives you confidence that your feedback has landed in the right hands and will lead to real action. Professional and well-traîned staff, friendly in every setting and across all levels. On site meals and drinks, plus extras such as massages are on the pricy to very pricy side, a one hour massage for example is costing double to comparable places in Egypt.
