1. Good Location and was warmly welcomed by all the staff / housekeeper. 2. I am not sure about the room cleaning policy as I stayed a total of 4 nights but no bed linen was changed at all. I would like the hotel to explain this policy on the website as well 3.I stayed on the night of December 31st, where a party was held both itself and at other adjacent hotel. But I found that the Chiangmai Marriot Hotel has a party until 1:30 AM. And it is so noisy that I can't sleep. I think the hotel should have complained to the Marriott Hotel about the overtime event and disturbing the guests a lot, but it seems that the hotel don't manage anything.

The hotel is great for access the night market, but poorly maintained with old carpet in corridors, patchwork paint on walls and damage to walls and skirting. The breakfast room was drab and old looking. The noise from the street at 5am woke us up everyday. The pool area is in need of revamping. The staff, like everywhere in Thailand were lovely but the hotel needs some investment and standards increased to ensure appearance is top tier.

The hotel needs an update. Our room initially was in the old section and was damp. When the AC was turned on there was an awful smell of flowery deodorizer that I could practically taste. Trying to mask the smell of damp was not good. We got upgraded to a better room in the main hotel (same one as spa) and was better (still a slight flowery smell but liveable) Unfortunately the pool is almost 100% in the shade. For sun seeking swimmers such as us , this was very dissappointing. The morning breakfast was good, as was the service overall.
