Very clean room, breakfast was mediocre so won’t rate the hotel highly as the bed was also extremely hard and at check in the lady on reception was not very welcoming! Strange in a city were most people are friendly. The parking is also quite a walk.

I’d booked a room for the weekend as I was attending an event at Ponds Forge , thinking this was the nearest Ibis hotel. I was welcomed quite promptly as the staff member on duty was obviously attending to other aspects of her job - it was also late evening - 9pm. The choices at breakfast were plentiful and easy to follow. Lovely room although more compact than I had expected though on reflection, the Ibus budget hotels are probably aiming more for the student/young adult population even though there were different generations staying during my time there.

Very basic room, which is fine due to the cost. When we arrived at around 14:30 for check in we got told that we had to wait until 15:00 for check in, which is totally fine, what we didn't like was that whilst we were waiting about 5 minutes after that, some other guests arrived at the hotel and were able to do their check in, the check in staff could have at least let us know as we were sat right next to the check in desk waiting, we thought that was poor. I work at a hotel myself, and thought this was poor.
