After travelling 5 hours with my 11 year old daughter I was confronted with a filthy room (I have photos) I alerted the reception staff who gave us another room, which again had not been serviced (dirty prowess on the floors, empty crisp packets in the room) we were given a drink and the receptionist went to see the other room she was going to give us to save us from going back and forth for 3rd time. That wasn’t clean either so we had to wait whilst it was serviced. The reception staff apologised and said they would compensate us. But on check out they did not. I am preparing to put this review on trip advisor with the photos I took

Lovely room, great spa, breakfast very good just a shame about the evening meal. Staff need some training. Went from being frustrated to just laughing at what was being done

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The room had stains on the chair, a toilet which was constantly running so would not flush, and NO PILLOW CASES. It then took me 20 minutes at the hotel, about 15 phone calls, and several emails, to get an invoice. I could not be more unimpressed.

I have stayed at your hotel many times. I think it is the best hotel in Sheffield as I have tried almost all of them over the past 25 years. I think that your hotel has gone down a little in service and presentation but it is still good. There is no mention of 25% discount at the local Q-Parks car park on your website or on Booking.com even though I knew that you usually offer this. The receptionist informed me of the discount but wasn't concerned when I said that there is nothing on your website. When I returned to the hotel at 1am after my night out, there was no one on reception. This did not affect me as I had my key but there were many guests (in dinner suits) trying to find someone. They even went behind the desk and into the office trying to find someone. We didn't have breakfast but usually would have, however breakfast was only served until 10:30 on this particular Sunday morning. I don't know why.
