From the preparations and courtesy call prior to arrival it felt I was coming into a well organised coved safe environment..... and the experience was exactly that . The place was spotless there were sanitizer stations and staff were well briefed. Staff welcome was first class as were all my experiences with the hotel staff. As the title says a brilliant all round experience and I will certainly be back

The reception staff were very friendly. The food available in the hotel was very limited due to covid. They were happy for me to have food delivered and gave me cutlery and crockery. The room was very comfortable so much so I overslept!

In a difficult time is very easy drop the service, Victoria and her Team are making my stay always a special one. I stayed in the Mercure already 6 consecutive weeks.

Having to do an unexpected business trip during the current covid restrictions was stressful but greatly helped by choosing to stay at Le Mercure St Paul. We couldn’t have been made feel more welcome and safe. Both Gaia and Ali were incredibly helpful. Rooms were, as usual, comfortable, clean and warm. Service impeccable, testament to what must be a greatly reduced team. Well done guys!

Staying in a hotel during this time is daunting however as usual, having only stayed once in the last year due to Covid the staff were welcoming and accommodating. In room dinner was limited but fine, takeaway breakfast was given to me by the chef who was there cooking breakfast before Covid. Good to see familiar faces. Thank you.

We are moving house and the Hampton refused our booking upon arrival. We came to the Mercure and Ali on reception could not do enough for us. He was polite, kind and understanding - he certainly went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The morning receptionist (a lovely and chatty lady from Sicily) was also friendly. The room itself was comfy and contained everything we needed. Highly recommended - the staff at Hampton could learn a lot from you and your excellent customer service!

I had reason to stay here in late Oct early Nov, and the experience was very positive. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were well presented, the location is 2nd to none. Sheffiled was in Tier 3 during my stay, and this was very evident with lots of sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. The staff could not be more friendly. Breakfast selection was a little disappointing, but with Covod-19, this is a challenge. I will be back...

Excellent hotel, extremely efficient and friendly staff. The front desk manned by Ali was professional and courteous and we were very well taken care of. The location was perfect for the main shopping and eating districts of Sheffield city centre as well as some of the beautiful historic sights. we would certainly come back for a stay when visiting the city again. Thank you for all that you did for us during our stay.

mercure as name was picked during the covid 19 pandemic to have a good hygiene place (receptionist is doing everything literally ...clean luggages- house keeping ...)i mean it everything in such a reputative palce ..i was residing in the executive suite (biggest they have) for 5 nights -only one day of poor clean i got ,zero hygiene ,smelly room .tv broken ,broken safety deposit ,nasty towels,bad breakfatst ..never recommend ..never stay again
