The hotel has great potential given its location, modern rooms. There are 3 or 4 areas where improvements are needed. 1) room upkeep: cleanliness, working condition of equipment: we had a few dustballs or food crumbs under the bed and in corners where most housekeeping would not bother with (behind the nightstand, under the fridge); the magnetic charger on the desk wasn’t working, the mini-fridge was not working and both required engineering staff to come fix/replace. 2) the staff in the restaurants were inconsistent in quality. Some were very professional and friendly, some spent a lot of time chatting occasionally loudly with each other and not attending to guest needs (eg removing finished plates at breakfast). 3) we made, and received written confirmation from the hotel, a dinner booking at Mflavours. But when we arrived, the greeter was quite insistent in seating us upstairs in Mappemonde, when we said we booked Mflavours, she even said we may have been confused. We insisted and she ultimately relented. 4) we were the only table at dinner, not exactly what we expected given the degree you promote the dining experience on your website. I think it may be due in part to the prices which exceed the quality delivered. Please don’t misunderstand: we still enjoyed our stay, we loved the location, we thought the rates were reasonable but the smaller details that separate a good from a great hotel were very obvious.
