The hotel is a standard Novotel, with all the amenities and comfort we are used to. One remark, we paid for a room with a view and we didn’t get it, even before raising the point to the front desk.

My room was horrible! Stained carpet no bathroom slippers or any sort of complementary amenities. The carpet was scary and I was afraid to step on it bare foot. However the location of the hotel is excellent. I also asked for a taxi to the train station from the hotel to help with luggage and it cost a whopping 10 euros which honestly is day light robbery given the station isn’t that far away. The reception was awesome very helpful staff.

We booked 3 different periods in August. The first one was not bad, although the pool area was always full and if you don't arrive at opening time, you probably will not get a lounger. In addition, our son’s bed was not prepared when we first arrived. This is a bummer when you arrive tired and just want to have your room as requested (and paid for). The other 2 periods were getting successively worse. Our second room was literally in front of the elevators so we could not sleep in peace due to the people going in and out and talking. Cleaning was not done properly because we found a lost belonging from the previous guest under our bed. The curtains were dirty (apparently mould) and the bathroom needed some deep cleaning and detailing. The third period was even worse in terms of cleaning. We found a cigarette butt under the nightstand (!) and a sock under the desk. The shower gel dispenser was empty (even after we asked for a refill), the curtains had mould spots, the carpet was stained, the shower cabinet was also mouldy and other maintenance issues. Some reviews say that the neighborhood was unsafe. It is indeed in a very dirty and unkept area, with lots of abandoned buildings and people on the streets. But we did not feel unsafe. Maybe because we come from an even bigger metropole but we understand why some more unaccustomed people would feel unsafe. The hotel is a 40-minute walk to the city center and it offers a van 5 times a day. But it was high season and the van was already full when we tried to board it. So, in a nutshell, the hotel could use some management improvements. It was not cheap and, above all, does not meet the chain standards.

The hotel was nice and modern. We used the shuttle bus once, but found it better to walk 10 minutes to catch the Hop On Bus. Our floor was solely families with young children, we had two older children. Unfortunately, the noise from the neighboring rooms kept us awake until gone midnight and woke us up at 5.30. We had very young children running up and down the corridors, jumping and bashing furniture and loud screaming. We knocked several times to stop the noise. The only other issue was the cleaner was rude. She was standing outside when we left for breakfast, asked if we're leaving and then huffed and said something in Greek when we told her we're having breakfast at 8am. The breakfast was lovely, a lot of choice and was enjoyed by all.

Hello, the check in was great, desk service was quick, helpful and friendly. The issue was the room itself, many stains on the walls and carpet. As well there was an annoying noise which apparently was coming from the pool bar area 3 floors above us. For this issue I found that no one was very helpful. I asked to be switched room but that was initially refused then as the noise continued it was finnally offered so late we just wanted to sleep. Fortunately I had two sets of ear plugs.

The best thing was finding a hotel with rooms for four people. We have to walk 15 minutes to find public transport but they offer a van to take you close to the subway / bus station every two hours. The area around the hotel isn’t very nice. I would recommend improving the menu at the poolside restaurant by adding some more traditional dishes or even snacks.

Generally very good. Would have been nice to have a couple more sachets of coffee. If you have renovation plans I suggest that you replace the air conditioning units with high level ones to provide more room.

Overall experience was perfect . Rooms were perfect and the kids loved the swimming pool and breakfast! In terms of location getting everywhere was perfect - can easily walk to the main centre or take a 5 min taxi (there is a free shuttle that goes into the centre also). At night yes the roads nearby are very dark and sketchy but honestly didn’t bother us (with our kids). But can imagine others might think it not great. There is a small supermarket literally 3-5 min walk away for all your essential stuff! Food places plenty everywhere in Athens!

The location is so poor, people doing drugs on the streets on and around the hotel, far from all the sights and food areas. The staff isn’t very friendly, not a smile was cracked, this doesn’t apply to housekeeping staff who were more friendly than front desk. But in saying that it’s not the cleanest hotel, the rooms themselves are so outdated, not at all like the images provided on the ALL Accor App, the shower has no door, not even a curtain, every time you shower it basically floods the whole bathroom. Additionally our toilet seat was not on properly, so every time you sat on it you almost fell off. The worst was one evening we came in late after housekeeping had been so we didn’t even notice until the morning that there was blood stains on our sheets!! (not from us). When I informed the second housekeeping lady that day she seemed horrified that was there. All this to say, it’s definitely not a 4 star hotel, they didn’t even restock the water in the room besides our check in day and we stayed 3 nights. They spent more time caring about their restaurant/breakfast and boutique area then the actual rooms.

I am a regular Novotel customer, but unfortunately Novotel Athens did not meet our expectations at all. We had to check out after the very first night. The hotel is extremely dated and, more importantly, cleanliness was a serious issue. We were moved between three different rooms, and unfortunately all three were dirty, with visible stains on the beds and carpets. The photos online are also quite misleading and do not accurately reflect how old and poorly maintained the hotel actually is. Overall, a very disappointing experience, especially as someone who regularly stays at Novotel hotels. We ultimately had no choice but to leave and pay for another hotel for the remainder of our stay. Definitely not the standard I expected from Novotel

Spotless, modern, and sleek. The property is exceptionally well-maintained, but what truly sets it apart is the staff. They constantly went above and beyond to help, while perfectly respecting my privacy. Highly recommended!

Hotel is overall very good, specially the common areas (lobby, gym, pool, bar). Rooms and room hall could get some minor upgrade. Staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good specially the Greek specialties.
