Good location , helpful check in service. Nice room with a good view. Dinner service was average - restaurant was busy and felt like there were insufficient staff for the number of diners. Appreciative of the breakfast box as we left early in the morning.

This was our first visit to Tasmania, and adding Launceston to our itinerary at the last minute turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. It’s an easy and scenic drive from Hobart, making it well worth the detour. Peppers Silo Hotel is truly one of the most unique places we’ve stayed. The hotel’s clever conversion from historic grain silos creates a distinctive and memorable atmosphere, perfectly complemented by its beautiful riverside location. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite, which was exceptional — spacious, stylish, and complete with a balcony offering lovely views over the river. We dined at Grain of the Silos for both breakfast and dinner, and even returned for “dessert” cocktails one evening. Every dish and drink was delicious, beautifully presented, and served by warm, attentive staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. While in the area, we explored the stunning Cataract Gorge and the breathtaking lavender fields at Bridestowe Lavender Estate — both absolute must-sees. Launceston is a destination not to be missed when travelling through Tasmania, and Peppers Silo is a true gem that made our stay unforgettable.
