We love stay at the Mantra Charles. Our preferred hotel when we are in Launceston. The staff are wonderful and friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. Everything is just perfect!

Our stay was okay. The parking situation is not ideal but we did find a spot. I can't imagine who decided to put the sheer blinds in a hotel room. You could not fully block out the light the way they were designed. We had an issue with someone nearby smoking and we could not leave out windows open for fresh air due to smoke and some of it smelled like marijuana smoke coming into our room. We mentioned this at check out and were told, we should have reported it. I don't know where it was coming from, we couldn't see anyone but sure could smell it. We told the front desk on our first morning that we did not want our room serviced and left the hang tag outside our room stating such. However our room was serviced. When I mentioned this at check out, I was told, oh well, you have already been charged, here, have a soft drink. The breakfast was nice and the servers were all very friendly. The lady working there is perfect for a friendly face in the morning.

I travel for work in Tasmania 4 to 5 times a year and I will now always stay for 3 nights at the Mantra Charles. I actually increase my driving time to stay here as it well and truly worth the effort. I did make the mistake once this year to stay at another property in a town that was closer to where I needed to be but I learnt my lesson and will always stay at the Charles. The service from the staff was exceptional and I actually had a minor issue with my shower that was quickly sorted out by maintenance. I was offered to be moved to another room but I felt confident that it would be fix by the time I returned and it was. My room was spacious, comfortable and there was a kitchenette that I took full advantage of. It gave me a break from eating out and cook a homemade meal that I was craving. Love this place and will continue to stay here.
