Stay started on a “off” note. I booked a twin room and ended up with a non-splittable king. My husband has mobility issues and we don’t share a bed. James informed me that housekeeping had left for the day, so even it had been possible, the bed could not be remade! He kindly and promptly supplied a roll away bed. Satisfactory but not ideal. After we had gone out for the day, we had a call advising us that the bed could not be split and would we like a different room. Again, not a good idea, repacking and moving again for one night. I declined, which meant another night on the rollaway. Not what I paid for, given that I ordered a twin in the first place. Food was excellent at all times, even if the restaurant was closed both nights.

Staff were amazing. So friendly and made you feel welcome. Room was beautiful and clean. Had everything we needed. And the free breakfast included with our room booking was exceptional. We will definitely be back.
