Had to pay for laundry and drying which was $4 each. My clothes did not dry properly and I informed reception. I had to pay another $4 . The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The noise from the road and outdoor noise was coming through the room clearly. The windows were not sealed properly. The pillows were too thin. I forgot my paintings in the room, the cleaners did not report it until the following day. reception told me this information. The hotel charged me $15 for the parcel to be sent due to me and my partner leaving Tasmania. I informed reception about my concerns and how if they informed us earlier we would have been able to pick up the paintings that day we checked out. They sent my paintings and charged me $15. Im not very happy about this place. Only good thing was the location.

As part of COVID-19 measures were possible we are required to leave departing rooms vacant for 24hrs, these are recommendations passed down by health authorities and part of Accors policy, and where our availability allows it we follow the guidelines outlined to us. So I apologize that on this occasion we were unable to inform you straight away in relation to you leaving behind belongings and that they had to be returned via post. The costs incurred for the postage was unfortunately based on the size of the belongings being returned. Extremely well located and easy walk to the centre of town. Beautiful view from my room facing City Park but on the down side it was very noisy. The staff were friendly especially those working at the Titanium Bar & Bistro. Rooms nice and clean and well appointed. Reception on some free to air TV channels was extremely poor and coffee sachets and milk were only replenished on request which I needed to do on a daily basis.

It was a modern stylish room. It was spacious. However, I find the lighting was a bit dim even though i switched everything on at night. I wish the breakfast time started early say 7 am everyday as lots of people want to do early hikes. Sometimes the cleaner forgot to clean the dirty plates...

Poor quality beds and pillows poor cleaning

The bed and pillows were pathetic i asked for some softer low pillows and was told there were none available, cleaning was poor , despite staying in rooms for 3 dats and apparent cleaning being done every day there was still dust on the bar shelves , sheets were not tucked in or cleaned only the doona was made up. The bar closed at 9 but i could see bar staff enjoying drinks with friends when i turned up at 9 and was told its closed really !! Bad Is all i have to say!!

We stayed for the night just to have a night to ourselves, no family. The hotel was great. Just a short walk to Hogs Breath. We were however disappointed that the website didn’t say the hotel bar/restaurant was closed. We really wanted a night of dinner and drinking without leaving the hotel. It didn’t kill us but we did have to walk in the pouring rain to get to the hogs. So all in all the hotel was clean, the staff were lovely. Just let people know when booking that the facilities aren’t all available.

A $50 bond was taken from my credit card which has so far not been refunded nor has the $8 charged for a beer from the room fridge using complimentary voucher provided.

As we were late checking-in, we received a call & advised of instructions to come as text. Pleasant surprise was an upgrade to a room with a kitchenette. Well appreciated. It would’ve been good if Reception had a script of advice on restaurant opening hours, nearby restaurants (with correct operating hours & days). This would have helped organise our dinner on Sunday night. Late checkout was almost a special request where the receptionist only reluctantly gave grace, half hour at a time where it was felt the hotel occupancy rate was not overly high at the time. Anyhow she provided some leniency in the end, much appreciated. Noted there were no drink vouchers provided during the stay??

cramped and missing advertised features

We stayed 3 nights. Breakfast was cancelled and we were refunded. Foxtel movie channels were advertised but were never available despite asking every day. The bathroom is VERY cramped and the toilet is way too close to the wall. The car park is way too tight with very little room to get out if someone is parked on the opposite side.

Once again we stayed at the Mercure Launceston. We enjoyed it before and we enjoyed it again. Whilst the rooms are very good, the Titanium Restaurant and Bar really make this hotel. The food is very good and the drinks, including the well-made cocktails, are excellent. The staff makes this hotel however, and their efficiency just after the hotel opened up again, was amazing. My hats off to Keith, Kelly and Polly for making our stay so welcoming and fun.

We had a great stay. As an Accor member, checkin staff upgraded us to the most beautiful room. I loved the spaciousness and modern room and bathroom with twin showers "luxury". It has a great position and location to the city and river/sites. The vibe and atmosphere were great. We enjoyed the restaurant and Kels and Mark were so attentive and great at their customer service.

Although the service was efficient, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, it was a very unusual configuration with no windows apart from very small high ones which opened on to a dark area. It would have been helpful to have had this explained when booking so that we could have made a choice about whether to look for something with air flow and light. If you are not planning to spend a lot of time in the room, which we didn't, it's not a big problem but it was certainly a very dark room.
