Everything about the Mercure Launceston was wonderful. Experienced engaging Staff, welcome & assistance finding an Urgent Massage, Large Quite Room, off street Parking, Smiles from other clients, everyone was happy.

Room was small and had an open balcony where door and window was facing, so couldn't fully open curtains. A little noisy with people walking past and carpark below. It was more like a motel facility, not your usual "Mercure" type accom. (perhaps should be an "Ibis"). On the upside the bed was very comfortable. Staff were nice. Breakfast was good.

Booking was for twin beds - when I checked in and enquired about the beds I was told that their was 1 Queen Bed - Reception staff eventually found booking where it stated twin bed required - bed was separated. Receptionist explained where lift was - I particularly asked if there were any stairs and was told NO stairs - there were several sets of stairs - upon asking a cleaner where I could get someone to help with our bags she did it herself. At checkout I had worked out how to drive to a different parking lot and load the bags. The Parking lots were very uneven and dangerous. The chair in the room was way past its use by date with the leather cracked and arms very scuffed.
