The room we were given was spacious, comfortable and well set out. However, our dining experience at the venue was very ordinary. Service was slow, messed up my order and we had to seek out service when needed. If I had known the venue was being upgraded, I would not have chosen this particular venue. I must add that I more than happy with my Accor Plus membership.

Pretty standard for a motel room. A few things: the toilet had not been cleaned properly - there was substantial evidence of the last use in the bottom of the bowl... The trainee staff member on checkin was not overly friendly / bordering on abrupt - understanding that she was a trainee and didn't know various items.

Room was clean although bathroom dated with some renovation. Sink too small, hairdryer blew cool air so couldnt use. You could also hear other guests coughing in next door room.

We have stayed at Mecure Launceston previously and found our stay good. We checked in this time with ease however a $1 charge was required on our credit card as we had booked through Qantas - weird! We also had a room overlooking other apartments and the carpark which was full of renovation materials, a skip, etc so was not very nice to look and we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The beds were comfortable as they were last time however, the pillows were so hard and big that they crinked your neck. I was not the only guest to advice reception of this. Breakfast in the morning was not great. I think a better set up (easy access to fruits and cereal an more of a selection) as well as being advised what is for breakfast rather than just being asked "how would you like your eggs?". Also the bar / restaurant was closed on Boxing Day / Night and there was nothing to advise this on your website. Would I stay again - not for the price.

The hotel was really fine. We liked the interior designed, the bed and the fitments in the rooms. Your counter ladies were very nice to talk to. We liked the Hotel location too, near main shops and places. It had everything we needed, and also great view to the hills form our room. The Tasmania holiday was wonderful and the Mercure Hotel stay made it a fitting ending to the whole trip. It was efficient and very anticipatory and enjoyable. I especially liked that room temperature, not too cold but just nice. It made bathing more complete where the BNB houses were really cold. Well yes if we could we will be back. Thank you!

Newly upgraded and extremely spacious room with free onsite parking

Love the newly upgraded room and reception. The rooms are spacious and improved in terms of modern equipments and facilities. The free onsite parking saves us alot of money and time especially I only get to checked in at 11pm after a long full day of driving. It would have been helpful if I know that the reception isn't 24 hours because I got really worried to see everything closed upon arriving. Fortunately, I have an Aussie mobile number to contact the hotline and manage to get help from the helpful staff to provide pin for self collection of key card. Overall, pleasant stay and thank you for serving my family and I over the Christmas period!

Thank you for serving over the Christmas festive period, fortunate to be staying in the newly upgraded rooms and rooms are really spacious! Happy to have free onsite parking as well that saves us not only alot money but the convenience it brought about. Self- Checked in at 11am via a phone call with teh helpful staff. P.S to inform the staff on your late check in or at least have an Aussie number to order to call them for the pin code!

Great place. Very peaceful & with a pace most unlike any mainland capital city. City Park is sensational, Tamar Valley well worth exploring. Will return in the winter to test out how cold it really gets before making any move to Launceston decisions.

We were very happy with the total package. Due too airline being late we did not arrive until just after 10:00pm. Sam (night staff) person graciously waited for us & made the checking in process very smooth. Thanks to Sam. The hotel & its staff are not pretentious in any way. Our room upgrade to a suite with small kitchen was greatly appreciated. Breakfasts in the dining room was fine, again staff were great. This hotel is not a 5 star establishment but neither does it pretend to be. We definitely recommend this hotel as good value for money. Its location worked perfectly for us.

All could have been great, but paint smell, and staff entering our room while we are in it greatly deducts from our experience.

Room is nice, bed is comfortable, big TV with Netflix is a big bonus. It would have been a 10, but due to it being a freshly painted room, the paint smell was overwhelming for us. Also, on the first day, one staff actually tried to enter our room while we are in it. The staff actually opened the door. That was pretty scary for us. It greatly took away our sense of security and privacy throughout our stay. We actually put a chair to block the door while we were inside after.

Great experience only negative was our room was next to car park and a motorbike took off in the small hours, and noise from carpark door being secured late at night and early in the am. Hope you finish the renovations soon. Twin room is way to small for a reclining chair and ottaman.
