Hotel rooms satisfactory . Breakfast while adequate was disappointing relative to the price. Terrible throbbing noise woke us both at 7am daily and started again at 9Pm second night. Sounded like a motor bike warming up (which it was not) and thought may have been clothes washer /drier. Office undertook to check.

I unfortunately stayed at Mercure Launceston over what turned out to be Launceston Show Day. Being from interstate - I had no idea about this and the show was actually on anyway. In my opinion the way the Hotel handled this was very poor - no advice that breakfast would be starting later and clearly people don't eat on public holidays as the restaurant was closed for dinner - once again without any form of notice to me. The room was OK, the parking is difficult. The communication around what was happening around the public holiday was really annoying.

Upon entering reception I was asked to evacuate the building as an alarm was sounding, I was asked to stand out on the footpath at the main entrance, certainly not directed to the evacuation point in the top carpark as should have been the case. Room smelt like vomit on entering and the carpet was soaking wet near the window and moving back closer to the bed.

I apologize in relation to the fire alarm, guests were directed to the front of the building as the issue was not due to a fire but we had to wait for the fire company to disarm the alarm, that was ascertained immediately. The issue was relating to a massive downpour of heavy rain that Launceston experienced late in the afternoon, which also resulted in flooding, which is what would have caused the water damage in your room, that housekeeping would not have been aware of. I do apologize for any inconvenience that was caused during your stay in light of this issue, had we known at the time that there had been water damage to your room we could have assisted in room moving you to another room type. Comfortable, enjoyed room service! Only thing was there were 3 times during the night that it seemed someone was thumping on our window - at least I think that’s what it was? Both my daughter I heard it, bit odd. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Comfy bed, noisy location, paper thin walls

Great comfy bed. Unfortunately sleep was difficult with traffic noise through thin windows and walls. Could hear the light snoring and TV of neighbouring rooms. Paper thin walls. Great meals in restaurant

Great place to stay. Only issues I had were a dirty heat pump producing slightly damp air and shower leaking at the bottom creating small pool under sink. Other than that, rooms were clean, comfy and well looked after.

We used our Accor card and enjoyed the extras. Receptionist Kate was lovely, the barman was very helpful and seemed to be multi tasking. The food experience for breakfast was poor, the food was very average and the staff under trained. Dinner was just Ok, we didn’t go back even though travelling with 2 children snd Accor discount should have attracted us back. The upgrade room was good.

Room was lovely bed very very comfortable unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was non-existent, made it very hard to wash my hair. I understand the importance of conserving water but a little more pressure would have been better.

Another beaut stay at Mercure Launceston with the usual attention to detail and friendliness. The room was comfy and quiet as usual and the breakfast and dinner - drinks was well up to the usual standard which we enjoy, together with the friendly banter and attention of Staff.

Our stay at Mercure Launceston was great, the room was lovely, the staff were great and very helpful , it has a laundry which was very handy when your on the road , the only thing I would criticise was the lack of buffet for breakfast as the menu was not very extensive, but the food was good and girls serving were great

Room was spacious and clean ,comfortable. Only one issue the iron is hard wired with timer button . The only problem i found with this is that the timer was only a few seconds and had to keep pressing to iron shirt and trousers became annoying.

Good location walk to middle of town and across the road from the park. Room very clean, well appointed and clean. Breakfast good. Parking right outside rooms. Check in quick. Quiet area. Unfortunately restaurant closed for dinner Sunday nights.

The bed and pillows were pathetic i asked for some softer low pillows and was told there were none available, cleaning was poor , despite staying in rooms for 3 dats and apparent cleaning being done every day there was still dust on the bar shelves , sheets were not tucked in or cleaned only the doona was made up. The bar closed at 9 but i could see bar staff enjoying drinks with friends when i turned up at 9 and was told its closed really !! Bad Is all i have to say!!
