Lovely light and clean room and bathroom. Good location opposite park, short walk into town. Extremely friendly staff, breakfast was lovely and the restaurant had a small menu but the food was delicious. Will definitely come back again.

A couple of things to probably work on… The showers cannot be turned on more than halfway without the water flowing into the bathroom, and having a bath mat rolled up at the shower entry way should not be required to “dam” the water and keep it away from them the bathroom. This water creates a dangerous slip hazard in the bathroom if you are unaware of it… Also, for the money we pay for the premium accommodation option, it would be nice to have 3 ply toilet roll supplied for the rooms instead of the thin, cheap wholesale alternative that you currently provide…

Great location next to City Park with easy walking distance to shops, museum and other sightseeing places. It was a certainly a nice treat having my room serviced every day and staff were very helpful. Having a comfortable Bistro and Bar downstairs was so convenient too.

We spent over 2 weeks travelling around Tassie staying in some lovely hotels. Unfortunately the Mercure wasn’t one of them. The room was very dark with one ceiling light at the door. Tried putting up blind but made little difference as the window was blocked by a wall. We arrived on a Sunday unaware the restaurant was closed on Sundays. No suggestions offered about nearby places open. Sought advice from staff at reception on things to see in Launceston. Only suggestion was Cataract Gorge and a museum.

This stay ruined our visit to Tasmania. My wife stepped out of the shower on the first morning, slipped on the tiles and fractured a bone in her back on the metal edge of the shower floor. We spent 8hrs of that day in the Emergency Room of the Launceston Hospital. The remaining 2 days of our stay in Tasmania were difficult with my wife in excruciating pain thanks to the slippery tiles in the bathroom and poorly designed bathroom. We will never stay at the Launceston Mercure again.

comfortable room bed, very clean etc., great front desk staff second time staying at this hotel, please improve your breakfast, food was cold or not available both occasions, this time there were no plates and tables where not cleaned for next customers. breakfast needs to be good to go especially when you have busy customers that need quick and hot food to start their busy day.

Even though room was right next to the stairwell and external door, it was very quiet. Very good temperature and bed was comfortable. Actually one little very tiny thing- i thought the mug/cup for the hot drink was so tiny, I had to have multiple to have more than two sips. But probably no matter what size, people would have other preferences. I arrived just before 9pm on a Friday, I was surprised there wasnt even a simplified menu option or any food options. I went walking to find something and streets were quiet and many closed but found some nice food at Nomy, I think it was.
