Our 3 night stay at the Cullen was unfortunately cut short because of the lockdown in Victoria due to Covid. The staff were incredibly nice and gave us 2 nights credit for the nights we couldn’t stay. The beds are nothing short of amazing and everything in the room was well appointed. Looking forward to our next stay which hopefully will be soon.

Great location but not luxury hotel

Disappointed as hotel was not as marketed. As an Art series hotel I was expecting a luxurious expect instead it was just OK. None of the extras were provide like a bathrobe, free newspaper ect like what was advertised when l booked. The Bed was very comfortable and room was very nice but the free wi-fi was terrible and l gave up trying to use it. I also found a.dirty coffee cup in the cupboard which is not acceptable and.makes.me.wonder how covid safe the cleaning was. I probably won't stay again.

We had a great one night stay at The Cullen. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We wanted to do some cooking and they brought up everything we needed. The bed was so comfy. We had a great time.

Friendly, personable front of house greeting. I felt cared for and like I was important and my stay was valued. I did not feel like a number. The moody lighting and Cullen theme made us feel like were were in a modern art gallery with special after hours access.

Unfortunately upon checking into our room we discovered that our room had not been adequately clean. There was a bottle on the balcomy that had cigarette butts in it and the rubbish bin under the sing was full of garbage. At any time this would be a problem but during Covid is absolutely unacceptable. The staff on duty did their best but was obviously very short staffed. I am considering whether to take this further or not.

I knew Adam well, and much of his art is in my house. He played grunge well, and when his art is displayed in glossy environments, it is always a reminder of the two truths that was Adam. He staged himself, ultimately to his death, and always looked after his legacy well. He knew he was going to be gone early. I was working with him a bit more closely in his last year of life, trying to inspire him to be more organised with international recognition. In between buying him canvass and talking it up in the Blue Mountains, I would meet him at The Cullen, think about new merchandising opportunity, like his jewellery made out of bullets, or a "Feral Animals" series of paintings and prints I wanted to promote in LA, London and Berlin. Nothing happened because he was spiralling down, and after his death I realised we really had a private set of plans. Although he invited me on hunting trips, I hated that idea... and I did not socialise with his other close friends. They seemed dangerous at the time. Anyway.... hence my choosing of the hotel. It has lost its shine on me on this visit. Maybe because it is sad for me too. The hope that it signalled me a decade ago, did not marerialise as I imagined it would. With Covid it is sad too. No good food in the premises. I think Adam would have found Covid great subject matter though.

This was terrible. A ruined bday present from red balloon & an anniversary that was continually interrupted. Our booking confirmation was not confirmed the day before and I had to call myself to get the details sorted. Then I received a call saying that we would not be receiving the included breakfast - which was the only reason I picked this hotel. They rectified this with free parking and wine but I really was expecting and looking forward to a breakfast. Then, the morning after our night stay we had expected a late checkout, which we were told that we would get. We were woken up by a call, and then a knock on the door to tell us that they were confused by the time we were checking out. Then we got another call 10 minutes later with attitude saying that they had clients coming in at 2pm - they allowed us to stay but the point of having a late checkout is not being interrupted. I am very disappointed, the communication, organisation and customer service needs to be improved. Will not be coming back ever.

Myself and my fiancée stayed one night for my birthday which was an amazing day out. I think I caught a bit of sun and was not too well that night, the bed was so comfy I was asleep in no time. Lovely staff and one of the best king sized beds I’ve ever slept in! All Other Furniture and carpets appeared a little tired even a tad grubby-( few hairs found on couch)

Stayed at the hotel as I had a family function to attend nearby. Check in was friendly and quick. My room was on the whole very comfortable and quiet, it was clean and had everything I needed. Just a couple of practical things I noticed - I found the lighting quite confusing and also the bedside light switches were a long way from the bed! (have I missed something?). Also, in the bathroom, there is not enough bench space if you wish to lay out toiletries etc and no hooks. I loved the spacious walk in shower though.
