The hotel was well located for the conference we attended. We were extremely disappointed with the room. There were large amounts of dust behind the bedside tables, which had to be pulled out to access power points to charge or phones. As a person who is allergic to dust, this raised health concerns. Also, behind the tv there was stacks of rubbish from past guests. Both of these cleanliness issues were reported, but nothing was done to rectify the situation. My husband’s meals served by Windows restaurant and the bar came out cold. We travel a lot, and the Mercure experience in Melbourne has me considering future bookings I have made with the hotel chain.

I paid for an upgraded room with a view of the lake through a very dirty window also the heater was stuck on 24 deg all night told reception they sent and engineer who couldn't fix the heater so they moved me into another room in tower 1 with no views and when i went to take a shower i noticed the shower rose was inside the bath tub not attached to the wall and the beds in the room where disgustingly old and heavily worn ended up sleeping on the couch.
