Some confusion with the breakfast and getting it for $20 with the reception staff and the restaurant having different information, this caused some embarrassment on my part. The TV automatically kept turning off. I told reception after the first night but it never got fixed. Location is the best part, runs around Albert Park Lake, use of the gym and pool and trams to the city on stkilda rd

We had to ask staff for wine glasses, toilet paper , extra pillows and bedding for the fold out bed. Also there were no spoons for coffee. We had booked for 2 adults and a 4 year old and expected sheets for the fold out bed. When we arrived there was a staff member at the door but he did not offer to help with our bags either. We would not reccommenmd this hotel to others. Towels were not changed!

Room was clean and tidy which was positive. The hot water in shower was lacking and noisy. Excellent Valet parking service. Front of desk were courteous and professional. The only issue and i think a major one is that there no daily room service but in writing it clearly said room service occurs on every 3rd day of stay which is fine but it never occurred and when calling reception it was to be looked at but never attended so due expectation of new towels from room service we had already left the towels on the floor and therefore had to go to the shops to get new towels for the rest of the stay.

We had a great night.. the only problem we found was that we could hardly understand a word the receptionist said when she booked us in. I had to look at my husband to see if he knew what she said. He said later he had hardly understood her either. Maybe put someone with an english accent on the reception.

This was our first trip following COVID. There has been lots of changes as a result. It was back to basics and many areas were not operational probably due to patronage numbers and availability of staff. However, this was not a deterrent at all. The key to the success is the wonderful, efficient staff. Emily on front desk was a whizz and very welcoming. The breakfast staff were amazing and extremely well organized team.. There were several conferences underway and did not intrude in any way. Rieko and Jenny made sure of that. What an unbelievable combination! The staff are thé main reason for our continuing return.. The facilities are always cleaned to a very high standard. It is a great location. Easy to get there, park underneath and the catch to tram network to wherever you want to go! No stress what so ever!

I was very disappointed with my stay, the lift and corridors were not at all clean and the room was not as good as expected. The room was not serviced during my stay and the floor of the room was damp.

Check in process was awful - very slow, woman was not friendly at all, online check in and being in Accor member line pointless as it didn’t speed up check in process, nor were any of the requests in the online check in considered (were not difficult - glasses in room, extra towels, etc as travelling with an infant). The rooms are old, tired and not maintained - carpet severely frayed and spent my entire stay keeping my 10 month old away from pulling at the carpet threads and eating them. Bathroom tub very old and bathroom/ bedroom walls damaged. Wires hanging from tv all down the wall. No powerpoint in the bedroom. No wine glasses in the room. Bedsheets cheap and scratchy, and one side of the bed was higher than the other (as it was two singles together, which is fine if they’re the same height and there is a king sized mattress topper, however neither was the case). The rooms are only made up/ tidied every three days, which we were only told when I asked at reception (after standing in line with my baby for 20 minutes, because housekeeping does not answer and the calls just ring out) - despite not being told/ advertised anywhere, and also having a sign to put on the door to make up the room. As an Accor plus member we have stayed in plenty of 4 and 5 star hotels. This was definitely not a four star property, and I highly doubt I would book there again after the past two weekends of staying, let alone recommend to others.

Room was nice and big.. Clean snd fresh, close to public transport. Downfall TV didn't shoe chanells properly. And couldn't adjust temperature in room. Hallways at times were messy. Otherwise not a bad stay

I tagged a stay plus free night on the beginning of a work trip. The booking worked well and it was arranged that I was able to stay in the same room for the whole stay. Check-in was smooth enough, however it was apparent that the bookings hadn't "quite" linked together, but all sorted out easily and the missing items bought up to my room promptly. Servicing of room was explained that not every day of stay BUT if I needed anything to call, understood that and very happy with it. Room however was missing coat hangers (only 3 in the room BUT the hooks for about 6 more) which as I was there for 4 days work I needed more. Again problem solved very quickly with more coat hangers delivered. The shower area had used shampoo bottles on the soap rack, just not cleaned completely. Then things got a little "funny" the first issue was on my third day of stay when I tried to book breakfast to my room, the system said I had no credit - although I had ordered room service the night before with no problems, I assumed that as I had tacked a extra night on, possibly the card hadn't carried forward to the rest of the booking.... I clarified at reception and they updated the system - but could explain how I had got room service the night before if no card loaded???? I thought OK fixed that's fine. Last day of stay I went to breakfast again, again got told no credit to charge to room, even though previous night I had ate and drank in the restaurant on had it applied to my room.... There seemed to be some sort of disconnect.... However that was not a big issue, just could be improved.

The lift to our tower wasn’t working so we had to use the service lift - staff were new so didn’t know the way. Finally got to our room! Luggage brought up by the concierge. Staff very helpful and friendly. Next morning no hot water and cold water was brown. We were upgraded to a room in the adjoining Pullman. Valet parking brilliant Beds super comfy Staff couldn’t do enough for you Would definitely stay again
