Good location closer to our destination. Cleaned environment. The only thing I was unhappy about during our stay was the carpark. It was so annoying having to call reception all the time we have to exit to go somewhere to open it up because it was saying we have to pay a ridiculous amount before exiting. And to top it off there were some reception agents who looked a bit racist because we were the only brown people checking in at the time. I wasn’t quite happy about it but tried to ignore it because we wanted to have a good time.

I had stayed in Mercure Melbourne Albert Park for 4 days to attend a conference and forgot my earrings on the bathroom counter. I checked out in the morning and realized where I left the earrings later the same day. I reached out to the hotel immediately, described where exactly in my room I left them and received a quick response that they have not found anything. I find it hard to believe as those are large silver earrings that would be very easy to spot for the person cleaning the room after my departure. Pretty disappointing, will never return to this hotel. Overall experience was fine, old rooms but tidy, ok for its price.

The facilities are OK but the issue for me was the noise. Other guests returning late at night from football games being noisy resulted in some corridor noise, but it appeared that noise from inside other rooms was coming through the air-conditioning. Although this might be unlikely, it would seem the only explanation.
