Added breakfast at check in, told it was $20. No form mentioned or signed. At breakfast, charge posted was $25, told to talk to reception to fix. On departure, the man wanted to argue about the price and because the lady on check in didn't get us to sign a form, we were told we couldn't have it. People make mistakes, procedures get missed. Just like he processed our bill and took payment and didn't ask if we would like to, nor showed us our room bill before we paid. Pretty sure that's a standard procedure to get a guest to check their bill? So we paid our room bill sight unseen. Really dissapointed with Pullman, thought it was a 5 star hotel, below ibis rating this stay at best! I sat up on the bed and the leg fell off, we were moved to another room, which was inconvienient as we had to pack up our bags. New room had a dirty or stained pillowcase (I sat it on the chair and house keeping changed it unasked, so it was obviously disgusting) and usb charging point didn't work. Breakfast on the first day was underwhelming. The coffee machine near the toasters ran out of milk and I had to get someone again as it stopped working. There was not a great selection of breakfast. Day 2 breakfast was lovely. The man on check out was rude, I don't think it was to much to ask for breakfast for what we were sold it as especially when day 1 was disgusting, the bed broke and we were inconvenienced. He kept going on and over the same conversation of the price and showed me the form we were meant to sign, I told him to stop as I didn't need the same discussion for a third time and he could charge us the $20 seeing as day 1 breakfast was disgusting and the leg broke on the bed. We were willing to pay for the breakfast, just what we had been quoted and the reason he had to put was the bed collapsed. In all honestly, I could have been hurt and it was a failure on your hotels behalf so surely it should have been comped. Instead he wanted to argue with me that he was right....Not great customer service!

Good size room, well lit. However, the carpet needs to be cleaned up better as the room stunk. The bathroom also did smell bad. This seems a common problem throughout the hotel. The carpet in the hallways stunk as well as some of the sofas in the lobby. The restaurant needs better quality food for the AUD42 a piece for a full buffet and coffee was not good at all. In addition, staff at the restaurant needs more training -or the hotel needs a better system- as they ask so many questions and several minutes before customers are seated.

No mini bar in the room. So even a bottle of water had to be ordered! The coffee pods were replaced with decaffinated and the same thing happened last year and our milk was not replenished.

Very impressed with our stay in the Pullman at Albert Park as it was the first I have stayed here in Melbourne. I have stayed in a number of Pullman around the world as an Accor member and always enjoyed the service. Room was very nice especially with the upgrade to the top floor was a really nice touch. We did have a prior arrangements for dinner so needed to go out which is a shame as the room was really nice to enjoy. Will certainly recommend my friends to stay here in the future.

standards have dropped a bit from last year.

It was strange that the conference tables didn't have table cloths this year. Suresh was wonderful taking care of us at the conference. With lunch, our team had to line up at the restaurant to go in as they stopped us from entering because they had too many people in there at once. When on a tight schedule, this delay takes up time. We were not early to lunch, we were on time. For the accommodation, I had a note that I had complimentary water in my room, but I didn't have this on either day. There was no breakfast order form for the second day either.

Firstly room aircon wasn’t working so we were moved to another room, the spa on second night was cold rather than warm, the corridors were extremely noisy with Asian guests, they accidentally called our room phone a few times at rediculous times. And the air quality wasn’t great in the room so everyone had a bad sleep!

Disappointing, unprofessional and lacking passion

When we arrived everything seemed great and we were excited as it was our wedding the next day. We organised a group booking of four rooms, one for each of our parents and one for our bridal party. We got room 9607 as the bridal suite for the girls to get ready in on Saturday morning and for the wedding night (Saturday). On the wedding morning the AC was broken which made the room really uncomfortable to get ready in as everyone was sweating and stressing out on a day that was meant to be enjoyable and relaxing. We had maintenance guys coming in and out trying to work out the issue for over an hour leaving all the ladies in the room feel uncomfortable as we were in robes and leaving us unable to use the bathroom at all, which lead to people leaving the room and having to go to another room to get changed causing inconveniences for the bridal party and families involved. Also, on the Friday night we decided to order room service for our room with our bridal party. My partner has an allergy intolerance to dairy and we ordered the pasta which did not list that it had dairy, cheese, nothing harmful to him in it. On arrival of the food the dish was covered in cheese leaving it inedible. So my partner couldn’t enjoy a meal with the bridal party. Made another order saying the menu didn’t include any dairy listed on the dish, the second serve comes up 20 minutes later swimming in butter. Again, called down and said can you do the dish without ANY dairy, they replied sure. 2 minutes later got a call back to the room saying the chef says the dish is completely dairy free so all good to eat. My partner starts eating still unsure of the dairy content due to the taste. Another few minutes later, we get yet another call saying sorry just checked again with the chef and there is definitely butter throughout the dish. This left my partner sick and in the bathroom on the toilet most the night before his wedding day. My maid of honour and I went down to reception to discuss the problem only to be offered to meal to be taken off the docket - which should have been a no brainer anyone because no one ate it? And offered a bottle of sparkling which doesn’t really rectify anything does it? Honestly should have been compensated much better especially from a nice, higher end hotel. Glasses in cupboard were dusty and dirty, floor was extremely dirty, main table was very dusty had to clean most things myself before use which was annoying being a guest at the hotel not a housekeeper... Room was a beautiful large room with an incrediable view so it was a huge shame that most things were dirty, AC was broken and windows were very foggy and dirty from the rain. When we viewed the room upon booking everything was immaculate, windows were so clean and we fell in love. So it’s a shame I had to write this about our experience as we were certain it was going to go the opposite way. Such a disappointing stay for our wedding eve.

We stayed at the Pullman, as we were at the AO all day. It was convenient to stay at the Pullman, as I am an Accor Member.

Stayed a few times and easy to navigate when driving to the hotel and miss most of the city traffic. Very comfortable room, very good pool & well equipped gym for a light workout but with a beautiful lake across the Road good to use for a pleasant walk and if really keen can go for a jog.
