Was disappointed that items that i typically expect as an Accor member did not occur,, e.g complimentary water. Also on arrival Friday night we ordered some soft drink for the room that did not arrive and had the same experience with room service, with the latter they charged us but i had that removed.

The rooms were very nice and big and the lake side had a great view from high up! The experience was nice, the staff were very accomodating but that can only get you so far w such service. It was annoying buying a "king" room to just have 2 singles pushed together, this should be advertised properly on Booking.com like most places so we know this is a possibility. All of the kitchenware (plates, glasses, coffee cups) were visibly disgusting. They were covered in other peoples' food and whatever the dishwasher left on them. Nothing was polished, let alone clean, and we had to clean it all ourselves before it was useable. The buffet wasn't even busy but 2 whole trays were dirty. The buffet food however, was really yummy but they ran out of croissants without checking for over 30mins. Overall a fine stay and lovely hotel but certain things that shouldn't have happened ruined it a bit.

Was stay at the hotel for a conference. On a whole the hotel was okay. Staff very friendly with check in & check out. Room was okay but had a few things that let it down.

Attended a wedding in Carlton with reception at George Hotel so this was ideal spot to rest and change between events and stay overnight to avoid a long drive home late at night . Concierge let me park in front on arrival and again between events . to save me paying two extra parking fees .

Not getting value for the cost

All the staff at reception seem to give different answers to the same question and aren't all on the same page with procedures. The rooms are understocked with regards to the minibar/coffee station and room service is ridiculously overpriced. The bedding is a joke- for the cost per person per night why are there no quilt covers?? We had a bare quilt clearly meant for a bigger bed just folded in half and placed between 2 sheets! The aircon is hard to adjust and also takes too long to adjust- we were freezing waiting for it to warm up! The taps on the sink are too small, you can barely get your hands under it to wash them considering the sinks themselves are huge and the shower flooded the bathroom pretty much everytime we used it and once to the point of flooding out onto the carpet- better drainage or a full shower door is needed!!! The fan in the bathroom is also woefully inadequate it might as well have not been on for all the good it did! This is the 3rd year in a row we've stayed because of a conference happening in the hotel and there have been issues every year!!! Not impressed at all with the hotel- it's meant to be 4 star but I've stayed in 1 star motels that would be on par and for a fraction of the cost! Overall I feel like this hotel is just a giant ripoff!!!

The Accommodation was fine, but I found the concierge assistance below its normal standard. We also had dinner with a group in the restaurant and there was not enough staff to cater for 16 of us in the group. The food and drinks service was really poor. It took us 2 hours to get served our main meal and that was 45 minutes after half of the group had been served. The food was good but the service was poor.

Our stay was lovely. As usual the staff tried their best to satisfy our stay. I will mention a downer. We booked for the buffet seafood dinner for two to celebrate an occasion. Being seafood buffet you’d expect seafood such as oysters. Unfortunately and disappointingly we missed out on the oysters (my favourite seafood in which I was looking forward to) which we were told by the on duty restaurant manager that they ran out within 1 - 1.5 hours due to short supply. We were not made aware of this until we sat down with our food. We were also going not advised that this specific buffet we could not use our Accor membership perks to dine half price until we were leaving. We expressed our disappointment to the manager but didn’t feel satisfied in his response. Why were we not made aware of this before being seated? Thinking we were dining half price we even ordered a bottle of fine wine but $65 x2 ($130) for a buffet with limited seafood is disappointing. Other than that major buzz kill. Our stay in general was nice and relaxing. There is one very lovely lady who worked in the exec. lounge and restaurant during our stay. She was very helpful and kind. Thank you.

There was a black hair on the bathmat - i am blonde. There was a random hand towel next to the couch that i did not put there. Desk for computer was ridiculous - glass - can't use a mouse without something under it. Couldn't slide in under desk as there was a bar at feet level - impracticable for extended amounts of work.

Added breakfast at check in, told it was $20. No form mentioned or signed. At breakfast, charge posted was $25, told to talk to reception to fix. On departure, the man wanted to argue about the price and because the lady on check in didn't get us to sign a form, we were told we couldn't have it. People make mistakes, procedures get missed. Just like he processed our bill and took payment and didn't ask if we would like to, nor showed us our room bill before we paid. Pretty sure that's a standard procedure to get a guest to check their bill? So we paid our room bill sight unseen. Really dissapointed with Pullman, thought it was a 5 star hotel, below ibis rating this stay at best! I sat up on the bed and the leg fell off, we were moved to another room, which was inconvienient as we had to pack up our bags. New room had a dirty or stained pillowcase (I sat it on the chair and house keeping changed it unasked, so it was obviously disgusting) and usb charging point didn't work. Breakfast on the first day was underwhelming. The coffee machine near the toasters ran out of milk and I had to get someone again as it stopped working. There was not a great selection of breakfast. Day 2 breakfast was lovely. The man on check out was rude, I don't think it was to much to ask for breakfast for what we were sold it as especially when day 1 was disgusting, the bed broke and we were inconvenienced. He kept going on and over the same conversation of the price and showed me the form we were meant to sign, I told him to stop as I didn't need the same discussion for a third time and he could charge us the $20 seeing as day 1 breakfast was disgusting and the leg broke on the bed. We were willing to pay for the breakfast, just what we had been quoted and the reason he had to put was the bed collapsed. In all honestly, I could have been hurt and it was a failure on your hotels behalf so surely it should have been comped. Instead he wanted to argue with me that he was right....Not great customer service!

Good size room, well lit. However, the carpet needs to be cleaned up better as the room stunk. The bathroom also did smell bad. This seems a common problem throughout the hotel. The carpet in the hallways stunk as well as some of the sofas in the lobby. The restaurant needs better quality food for the AUD42 a piece for a full buffet and coffee was not good at all. In addition, staff at the restaurant needs more training -or the hotel needs a better system- as they ask so many questions and several minutes before customers are seated.
