As soon as you enter room you see broken dusty wooden cabinet and there is no coffee machine but there are coupons no bin bags in dustbin

Took too long to check in despite my Accor membership status. The lakeview room was noisy from the main road traffic.

Although it's an older building, the room, bathroom and public areas have all been modernised to a good standard. Particularly liked the lobby and bar area - we spent a couple of evenings here enjoying drinks and good bar snacks. Service was excellent and friendly everywhere, specially at the bar (sorry didn't catch the names). Breakfast was the standard buffet (and expensive) but there is also a small cafe for breakfast and lunch snacks. Room was clean and comfortable with expected facilities and amenities. Small bathroom - you can't help but flood the floor because of the shower design so extra bath mats should be supplied. View of Albert Park and the city in the background. Good leisure facilities - small pool, hot tub and sauna. Location is half way between the city and St Kilda with a tram stop around the corner. I would usually stay in the city but this was a handy location for a concert I was attending in St Kilda. Price was reasonable and would stay again if I needed to be near St Kilda.
