The check in was easy and staff were friendly. I did unfortunately get locked out and had to go downstairs 3 times until staff called engineering to fix the lock. The carpet was quite worn with the fabric sticking up out of the floor. It was very busy and staff managed well.

Great, spacious comfortable rooms, beds are excellent. Front desk staff could do more to welcome guests. The staff seemed distracted.

nice hotel disorganised and untrained staff.

We brough a package through Luxury Escapes that had several elements. Hotel not prepared for the other elements of the package at all - bottle wine, passes or parking. Just a bit frustrating to have to continually go over it with different staff. We tried room service on the first night. Fish and chips with mushy peas - no nushy peas Steak sandwich - completely cold. Not even a hint of warmth. Formed the opinion that it was not produced in house and had been delivered to the hotel. We would have had more room service but the experience put us off.

Stayed for 3 days. Nice room but no house-keeping.

Nice room, but stayed for 3 days and house-keeping never showed up once.

So friendly, from the minute you walk in.

Hotel and function rooms more then adequate for business related work. However lunch and morning/arvo teas while adequate meals were provided, standing to eat meals in large groups is not ideal.

Location was good

Had a great stay and function at the Pullman at Albert Park. The staff were professional and friendly. Requested a razor from housekeeping and it was brought to my door within 5 minutes which I greatly appreciated. Although there was a long wait for check-in, the staff member who completed my check-in was courteous, welcoming and professional.

Just felt like an another mass produced hotel stay. Clean but nothing to rave about. Chipped and dated furniture. Mattress bases were worn. Two hotel beds pushed together and didn’t have a proper protector so you could feel the gap.

Good location and venue

Received room upgrade which was appreciated as the room size and layout was fantastic. Only trouble was that the room had not been well cleaned; everything was very dusty, all bench tops tables, phone etc. The toilet had some sort of sticky residue over lid and cistern. The media hub was not connected and just lifted out of the unit, so could not use. No wine glasses in room and no minibar.

The room was dusty - a layer of dust on the bedside tables and desk. Also only found out towels are replaced once every 3 days after calling reception. The standard sign - towels on the floor in the shower or in the bath would be replaced - was not accurate as this only occurred every 3 days.

An amazing weekend away

It was a last minute decision to take this trip to Melbourne. I read the recent reviews and some weren't favourable. The room was clean, quiet and fresh. The bed was comfortable and shower pressure good.

We had booked a two night stay with package inclusions! We also received an upgrade which was greatly appreciated, but did not include a walk-in shower which was in our original booking! We had to go down to the desk and ask for our golf ouches our welcome gift and our bottles of water. Bar was meant to be open all day and when we went for lunch this was closed even though it said this on our placard! Asked for a cappuccino in a mug and was given a cappuccino in a cup asked the gentleman that should of been in a cup so he brought us a mug over empty! eventually took the mug and made the cappuccino in the mug! Asked for a lemon lime and bitters when it came it did not look like the drink or taste like the drink I said to the gentleman what is it and he said we have put something else in it and I replied you should’ve asked the customer first! Ordered a beer and got the wrong beer!! As the executive lounge was closed a platter was offered down in the bar which was very limited! The second night was a lot better but not offered to other guests. This experience was very disappointing. We hopped into bed and noticed that the doona was a single doona on a king size bed. There was no extra blanket in the cupboard when we pulled back the sheet the doona had red stains and yellow stains on it. I went down to the desk to see a manager (Emily). Emily sent a gentleman up to fix the bed and he came in with two single doona‘s?? Gentleman left and then came back with a queen size doona which was all torn and had lots of holes in it I then told the gentleman to send the manager up! Emily came up and made the bed with the holy doona and we said that we would like to be moved tomorrow especially that we had booked a room with a walk-in shower and we were actually stepping into a bath the reason we book a walk in shower is that my wife has had a knee replacement done so this was not acceptable! I Asked for coat hangers as there was only one in room, the lady said I will have to check, she never came back with any coathangers never even came back! When we had to check in to the replacement room the wait time was 25 minutes one person working on the desk with two people in front of us! After we checked out at the desk we proceeded to the car park boom gate and we could not get out no one would answer the phone so we had to re-park the car and go back to the desk which we were then given a ticket! Our car parking was included in our package. Staff at breakfast were very efficient. Overall our stay was very disappointing this is a five star property and none of this should’ve happened! I don’t believe that we should have to ask for everything that we are entitled to or what was included in our package!

Good business hotel if driving

Comfortable, clean and reliable place to stay, especially if you're driving. Modest walking distance (~30 mins) to both St Kilda & Prahran for restaurants. Easy to park underneath.

This is our go to Hotel when staying in Melbourne and we can see all signs of it returning to itself pre-Covid. The hotel is still struggling with staff but is doing its very best to accommodate its visitors. The staff is lovely and in some cases you will see some old familiar faces and then there are the new in training. I would especially like the thank the lovely guys in the bar as this is currently where dinners are served at night time, on that note I feel the restaurant needs to open soon at nighttime as the bar menu is not really servicing business people and maybe a limited menu is needed but not burgers. We also hope the Club Room will be again soon as well.

Stayed at the Pullman for 2 nights , booked executive lounge access room, upgraded to a Lakeview room, the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Room was well furnished with comfortable bed and great view. We had a lovely stay, enjoyed the pool and spa and the casual bar area. Only complaint was the executive lounge was closed (which we were aware of before we arrived) and we were told the service would be provided from the bar. Two arancini balls and 3 drink cards each do not replace access to the lounge. The hotel should not be selling this room type until it can provide the expected level of service. Having said that, the bar staff were lovely and did what they could to make it a pleasant experience. Would be interested to come back when the hotel was in full operation.
