Staff very friendly and welcoming, we booked a spa apartment and were upgraded upon check in, however the upgrade had no spa?!? The whole internal building, rooms etc are very tired and worn, desperately in need of an upgrade. The carpet was lumpy and worn, paint peeling and bathroom looked to be resealed multiple times. The breakfast was ok, bacon was pretty chewy however the pancake machine was great!

On arrival I was not booked in at Mantra Southbank even though booking was confirmed via email 3 days prior, but was finally sorted after a few hours. Bed was uncomfortable, bedroom tv had no remote, had to operate it manually and reception was bad. room was dated with wall paper coming of the walls. Room phone cord kept falling out and reception did not answer via this phone I had to use my mobile to call reception who took over 20 min to answer other than that everything else was fine.

Worst stay, the bed had 2 mattress and there were not on level, it was too painful to sleep and we had to check out early morning because of that. Back pain is so horrible we had to spend lots of massage and physiotherapy as we had to get back in shape for our work
