We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect with restaurants, supermarkets and trams so close and Southern Cross Station a short tram ride away. The apartment was so clean and perfect for our needs, with 2 bathrooms and a well equiped kitchen if you wished to cook. Air conditioning worked well, beds were comfortable and the hand/body wash & lotion were gorgeous! - and we were very comfortable there. The staff were amazing and made contact the day before to check our arrival time and bed configuration for the 2nd bedroom. This was greatly appreciated and our apartment was ready when we arrived an hour or so early. We had breakfast included, and although not as big a selection as some other hotels, it was of a high quality and we really enjoyed the granola, bacon and scrambled eggs, cereal, fruit, pastries etc. The weather was quite cool when we were there so we did not use the swimming pool, which as others have pointed out, is not very big, but would be very welcome for a quick dip on a hot day. The hotel has a lounge and library available for guests to relax in, or do work if needed. There are big lounge chairs in each, which are so comfortable and some tables if anyone wished for a quiet space. Many thanks to all the staff. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed here while in Melbourne for a a friends memorial service, and I can’t thank the team at Peppers Shadowplay enough. The staff were so incredibly understanding and accommodating during a difficult time for us. The room felt more like a cozy city apartment than a standard hotel, which we loved. Plus, the location is perfect—easy walking distance to Southbank, the city, and the South Melbourne Markets. Thanks again for looking after us.
