We’re pleased to hear that you found the accommodation acceptable, although we’re sorry that aspects of your stay caused frustration. We sincerely apologise for the delay with the release of your security deposit. We understand how concerning it is to see the charge still active after checking out, particularly when you are being charged interest as a result. We also appreciate your frustration after contacting us on 7 September and being advised that the release sits with the banks. We are following this matter up to ensure the status of the security deposit is clarified and resolved as quickly as possible. We’re sorry that this has caused you unnecessary inconvenience. We also appreciate your comments regarding the kitchen facilities. We understand your concerns about the fire alarm notice and the condition of the dishwasher, and we will pass this feedback on to our maintenance team for review. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that your anniversary stay did not live up to your expectations, particularly given the special memories you and your husband have of celebrating your wedding with us in 2015. It’s disappointing to hear that the anniversary occasion you noted in your booking was not acknowledged by our team, and that nothing had been arranged in your room. We completely understand how upsetting this must have been, especially when returning to a place that holds such significance for you both. We’re also very sorry to hear about the condition of the bathroom, dusty shutters and uncomfortable pillows. This is certainly not the standard of presentation or comfort we want our guests to experience. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping and management teams so these concerns can be addressed. Most importantly, we’re sorry that your stay left you feeling disappointed in a place that was once associated with such wonderful memories. We got married at salt in 2015 and booked two nights here for our anniversary this was mentioned in the booking the staff never mentioned it when we checked in nothing was set up in our room. It was really disappointing. The bathrooms are fill of mold and the shutters are full of dust not to mention the lumpy pillows. The staff definitely didn't make the stay what is once was I left feeling disappointed in a place I once help memories of the best day of my and my husband lives.

Everything is just ok … rooms tired and lacking basic things, eg nespresso machines, body lotion, robes , towels well past use by date. Foyer a mess.. no help with parking and luggage. Gardens superb!

I was a bit disappointed with our stay. Our room and the resort in general felt quite tired as did the staff. As wonderful as it is that you have disability rooms, I'm not sure they are ideal for able persons. Also, the toilet didn't flush properly and took 3 flushes for just a wee.

We normally stay at Peppers across the road, decided to change it up as the building and resort looks awesome. put in a room that stunk, ended up finding out it was mould and caused by an unidentified (not sure how) water leak in the bathroom that spread to the bedroom and seeped into the furniture and mould took hold. now obviously this is a serious issue and really bad experience. however i was impressed with the management of the situation. reception took appropriate action, management put us in a new room (upgrade ofc) and offered complimentary breakfast and gave us a gift. so end of day, the location is awesome, building hotel is good, needs a reno as its aging however, there is good staff there, seems to be good management so it hasn't crossed me off staying again and we will be back. Next time will be booking a suite cause they are much better :). so initial impression 1/10 (cleaners should picked up on the smell and serious damage to the room)... how they mangaged a situation 7/10 (breakfast inclusion is nice but there is way better food at the local cafe so they should put options out there like paying for that or giving a reduction on next stay) 8/10 how the stay landed.. was nice, ageing place but awesome location and structure, good management i will stay again.

A lovely spot for a short getaway. The only downside for us was being in the apartment directly above/overlooking the restaurant being renovated, especially when the workers arrived on site at 6:30 in the morning then started with their tools at 7am!! A bit too early for the noise to start for a relaxing time away, even an hour later would have been more considerate for all guests. We also had an issue with the TV not being on the correct input, a male staff member promptly came up to fix, tv needed another remote which wasn't in the room. However same thing happened the next day when we turned it on, another staff member came up, Heidi, who then showed us how we could change the input on the TV itself with a button underneath. The lagoon pool area was a lovely place to relax, it would have been nice to have the small Cafe open to enjoy drinks and snacks in that area, unfortunately closed when we were there.

We booked an all-inclusive package through Luxury Escapes to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary, and unfortunately the overall experience at Mantra was disappointing and certainly didn’t feel like the special getaway we had expected. The TV in the main bedroom did not work, and the remotes also weren’t working when we arrived as they needed new batteries. While these may seem like small things individually, they contributed to the feeling that the room hadn’t been properly checked before our arrival. The most frustrating part was our $50 dining/bar credit included in our package. We planned to use this on our final night, only to be told that the bar at Mantra was only open from 3pm–5pm. We were then advised to go to Cove Bar instead, as we were specifically told it was open until 6pm. We made our way there, only to discover that it had also closed at 5pm. We spoke to the lady on duty who said we could get $50 worth of coffees the next day before check out!! As a result, we were left with a dining/bar credit that we were unable to use through no fault of our own, despite it being part of the package we had paid for. The communication around the facilities and opening hours was very poor. Overall, the stay was lacking the level of service and attention to detail we expected, particularly when we had booked this specifically to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like the special or premium experience that the Luxury Escapes package had been presented as.

Mantra in Salt is relaxing and peaceful although the rooms are getting a little tired and the cleaning staff could do a better job. The beds were a little hard but overall we enjoyed stay. Loved the restaurants nearby and the proximity to the beach.
