Was charged $100 extra public holiday fee. Was not informed until the day at check-in.

Dear Jason, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We do not charge extra fees for public holidays. The $100 extra that was charged on check in, is for a bond. We are sorry that this came as a shock on check in, but the bond is mentioned in your confirmation email and on our website. We do not keep the $100 bond as this is a hold that is released back to your account. I had a lovely stay at Mercure Hotel Rouse Hill. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my visit. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basic amenities I needed. The location is excellent — within easy walking distance to shops and public transport, which made getting around very convenient. There is also ample parking available, which was a big plus. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.
