Sofitel Barú Cartagena exceeded every expectation and truly felt like a 5‑star Caribbean retreat. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculate, with a comfortable bed, elegant French touches, and a private balcony overlooking the ocean that made every morning feel like a vacation snapshot. The breakfast was exceptional: a generous buffet with a wide selection of international and local options, fresh fruit, pastries, and hot dishes that easily catered to different tastes. We especially appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the relaxed yet upscale atmosphere of the dining area. Most memorable, however, was the care and attentiveness of the staff. From check‑in to checkout, team members were warm, professional, and genuinely interested in making our stay comfortable, remembering small details and going out of their way to help. The location is amazing and resort is breathtaking. The staff is attentive and makes sure to help you with anything you need. Despite the hotel being fully booked, did it ever feel crowded or busy.

I had no intentions of remaining on the island for two days. I was going to Cartagena Sofitel to stay, but after being in Baru for the time I was there I was so overwhelmed that I did not want to depart. I did make it to Sofitel Cartagena but Sofitel Baru, is my home. Excellence all the way around. If I did have a complaint it would be not being able to control my AC for myself. That is such a small things. Awesome facility location and staff. Kenneth D.
