I was looking for a simple hotel in a well traveled area. It is that. However, it is SO loud basically until 4am. I say loud, I mean the bed rattling from the base loud. I mean you can't hear someone on the phone loud. I mean bring earplugs, you'll need them loud. Two good things about this place, the front desk staff were helpful, friendly, and just nice people. And the location made it easy to explore Medellin.

I booked my reservation, with my complete info which shows I'm a tourist from the US , so we don't pay the local taxes . The clerk charged me like I was a local , my wife noticed it and told him about it , the clerk refused to take the charges off , I handed him my passport and the airline ticket vouchers , still refused to do so . Cartagena has a history of treating tourist bad and continues . I will never stay at an Ibis hotel after this .

Television did not work that was repaired. Air conditioner did not work we called no one came.
