A return visit, still as impressive. Ideally situated within the city’s historical fortifications, from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome and remained supportive throughout our stay, with special thanks to the Butler service. Allocated a very quiet and comfortable suite in the republican section, our stay was pleasantly animated each evening by the turn down service staff with whom we had great fun. Each morning the magical convent courtyard provided a superb back drop to the excellent breakfast buffet, full of fresh local fruit, charcuterie and pastries. In the same setting, lunch was also delicious and excellent value. The butler organised a round of golf for me and a seance at the spa for my wife, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Any time we spent around the pool was both visually pleasing and enriched by the professionalism of the bar and pool staff. In fact I personally have difficulty in finding fault.

Very clean, beautifull garden, nice pool. Breakfest OK , just no freshly pressed juices.. Rooms were not ready at 3 pm , we needed to wait almost an 40min.. . Even prebooked, baby crib was not in the room. Service is good, but not exceptional . Noisy as stuff starting preparations at 6am. Really strange - voluntary 50usd tips /room - didnt face such a request in any 5 stars hotels...Maybe its normal for americans , but europeans dont understand that..:-)

I had a short stay at this beautiful hotel, and overall it was a positive experience. The staff was very courteous, and the room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. However, I was quite disappointed with our dinner experience at the 1621 restaurant on March 27. We had been really looking forward to the evening—the setting is lovely and the staff there were great. Unfortunately, a group of young women began taking photos right next to our table, using bright flashes and lights while posing. Despite the restaurant staff asking them to stop, they continued. They even left briefly, only to return a few minutes later and resume with more flashing lights. This completely disrupted the atmosphere and spoiled what should have been an enjoyable meal. Despite repeatedly asking for assistance, the situation wasn’t effectively resolved, and we couldn’t fully appreciate the otherwise excellent food and wine. To add to the disappointment, when I reported this issue at the front desk during checkout, the staff member seemed dismissive and shrugged it off. Overall, while the hotel itself is beautiful and much of the service was commendable, this experience significantly impacted our stay.
