The staff, especially Anna, was so kind and helpful to us. They did so much including finding an obscure book I wanted to get, giving us tours of rooms with Wayang, and of course the tour of room 33 (we did that twice). For our second stay they put us in a room where we could see the Indonesian flag from the flag incident because they knew we had an interest in the revolution. They got us the best tour guide, Reza, who used to work in the hotel. Anna even got us some small Wangan Kulit as a parting gift. It was such a special experience even though it's a fairly large hotel. Thank you for making our stay in Surabaya so special.

The staff went above and beyond. We were upgraded free of charge as the first room we had did not meet our expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful, the architecture of the building and the gardens are spectatcular. It is getting ready for a make over in parts which we were told is planned next year. Our room had already been renovated, it was spacious clean and very comfortable.
