The Ibis location dos excellent near of shopping, museums and the Hobart port. The employees are nice and put effort to practice customer service. The rooms are ok and cleaned. The pool, guy and other extras are greate.

We had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel\. First, it took a very long time for the hotel to prepare our room after we checked in\. After waiting for such a long time, we were given a room that had clearly just been painted\. The smell was strong and the room was not in an acceptable condition\. We then asked the front desk to change our room, but the replacement room had a very poor view, which was also disappointing\. What made the situation even worse was the parking\. The hotel has an underground parking garage, but we were told that we could not park there and were instead asked to park at a location quite far away from the hotel\. We cannot understand why we were treated this way\. At this point, we are seriously concerned that we may have been treated unfairly because we are Asian guests\. We expect the hotel to explain why these decisions were made and to provide an appropriate solution\. This has been an extremely frustrating

Pre-booked this for my birthday celebration IN Hobart and it didn't impress as much. Room was empty and I always have to indicate that I'm a platinum member so I don't need to pay for breakfast or to ask for water. I was impressed on my first time to stay here but on my special day, I could have booked elsewhere instead. Still good location and a nice hotel but not for a birthday. The receptionist tried to make it up as he apologised for the unprepared services when I told him what happened. This weekend stay is not as satisfyinga as the first one. Otherwise I would have booked somewhere much nicer for my special day.

Sunny booked me in despite me booking the wrong date, she adjusted it, realised it was my birthday and upgraded me with a lovely bottle of bubbles and a big smile and early check it. Super helpful and a lovely swim and sauna, great brekkie to boot and highly recommend for a night in Tassie close to everything.
