We recently stayed for five nights and this hotel is one of the best. Very modern and clean and well located. We will definitely stay again if in Hobart and will recommend the Movenpick to anyone. We loved the bathrooms with the "rain" shower.

Aside from one shocking incident the overall experience was good

Safety is a top priority for us, and I am genuinely sorry for the distress caused during such a stressful situation. I understand how concerning it must have been, and I sincerely apologize for any lack of communication or inadequate response. We take your concerns seriously and will be thoroughly reviewing our emergency procedures and staff training to ensure that incidents like this do not happen again. Your feedback about staff preparedness and the absence of proper guidance during the fire emergency is invaluable, and I will personally look into the matter. Really great hotel, lovely rooms, wonderful front desk/concierge staff. Our experience in the restaurant for breakfast, drinks and dinner was poor enough to consider never returning to the hotel unfortunately.
