Ok this was shocking to me - a hotel that claims to be 4 star plus - does not clean the rooms everyday , uses your hand towels to mop the floor , the hotel does not tend to the room phone not working so every time you need something you need to go to the reception , the tea coffee sachets are not replaced nor are the cups n glasses cleaned .. Quiet poor form in my opinion, and no action taken by administration in-spite of it bought to their attention . I read the previous reviews and wondered if it was the same hotel ….

Great location, solid hotel - everything you need. Service in restaurant very slow due to insufficient number of staff. Weird layout in restaurant also made breakfast a bit odd and added to the delays of service. Otherwise good hotel

Our room was very roomy with a great bathroom. The vanity could be a bit larger. The bed and pillows were comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. We only experienced the "Chocolate" hour once during our 7 days and it was disappointing - mainly slices with very little chocolate. The breakfast was very nice with lots of fresh food. The baristas need to make the coffee hot, a couple of days I quaffed the coffee in 30 sec.

I was entertaining guests from abroad, showcasing Hobart. What better hotel to stay in than the Movenpick. The guests were so impressed with the high level of professionalism of the staff and commented highly about the detail of the rooms. When they experienced the chocolate hour in the afternoon, they were beside themselves. Thanks Movenpick hobart for making my job so easy.
