The room was a great size and beds were very comfortable. We would have liked fo be able to book separately beds in the room for our kids rather than having to share. Also, there is no privacy in the bathroom. The sliding door has no mechanism by which to lock it, and everybody in the room can hear the person using the toilet. Breakfast was very good, and service staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Stayed 3 nights and am a Gold Accor member. We were able to check in early thanks to front office manager James and we also received a late check out which was much appreciated. Received 6 drinks vouchers which was a lovely gesture and recognition of my Accor membership. Given room 204 which overlooks the Salvos store and bus station. Room was clean and spacious however there were a few incidents that occurred which prevented a higher rating. Room phone emitted a constant flashing blue light which was highlighted to James and he advised the engineering team would look into it. This was not resolved so we ended up unplugging the phone. Our room door did not close properly on our second day, however James did a great job of fixing it. There was a high pitched screeching sound originating from the pipes? every time we had a shower. And the clock tower across the hotel chimes every 15 minutes so if you are a light sleeper, you may prefer to request rooms furthest away from it. The food at the onsite restaurant Tesoro was very good and we had daily breakfast and one dinner there. Chocolate hour from 3.30pm-4.30pm was also a nice touch. Breakfast can get busy and there was a table next to us that had a mixup with their order. We didn’t encounter any issues and enjoyed all the dishes. Location is excellent and the dock, Salamanca and Battery Point are all within walking distance. Overall, a pleasant stay despite a few hiccups and it’s nice that they do acknowledge Accor members.

We checked in for 3 nights. Our room was comfy. We dined in the restaurant on our first night. The service was not good and letting the reputation of good food here down. We ordered drinks and after 20 minutes we’re still waiting. Our entrees arrived and were most enjoyable. Our plates sat on the table for 15 minutes after we had finished. The mains came and the waitress asked where she could put them as there was no room on the table. We suggested to her that she clear the table first so she could deliver the mains.WOW! We spoke to front of house Elina about the issues and she asked Head Chef Glen to have a word with us. By the way the food is excellent and Glen is producing some fine cuisine. Our conversation revolved around lack of staff training and ability to find good staff in the Hobart area. Next morning at breakfast James Hart visited us at and was very apologetic about what had occurred. That’s nice but we were looking for provisions to be put in place so this type of poor service does not happen again. We checked out on our 3rd day and ordered our car through valet parking for 11 am. This was ordered at 10.20 am we completed our checkout at 10.55 and Claudia gave us our car keys and told us the vehicle was parked outside in the 5 minutes zone. We thanked her for her assistance and went outside to find our car was not there. WOW! It took another 15 minutes to have our car delivered to us. Not a good experience.
