Excellent very accommodating

Conveniently located, easy access to restaurants, bars and buses.

Check in/out and valet parking was quick and easy. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with great views out over the lake. The attached restaurant 'Barrel & Co' had tasty options for meals and the service was always pleasant and quick. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and perfectly cooked omelettes and poached eggs. All staff were pleasant and helpful with any query.

Everything at the Pullman was great! The first intro, the continued customer service, the drinks, the food and of course the room.

I have been coming to the Pullman Rotorua for several years now. I find it absurd that a 5-star hotel does not offer Sky anymore. Me and my son wanted to watch the All-blacks game and were told you no longer have sky. It is the first 5-star hotel I have been to that does not offer this service. Disappointing.

Very satisfied with hotel, staff and amenities, and cost very reasonable

Recommend you review relationship between bathroom facilities and bedroom when refurbishing rooms in the future. It is unnecessary and unpleasant to have zero acoustic separation between the toilet and main space. Similarily, it is not advantageous to feel like the basins/ bathroom are part of the bedroom. There is ample space to create a wall between, which could have sliding doors if someone wants to have the space connected. I suggest this arrangement works when you are sleeping in the room only. The lack of acoustic separation for the toilet is not acceptable. We will stay in alternative accommodation in the future. I should note that the location was good, view nice and staff pleasant, but the bathroom arrangement is a deal breaker.

The room had a wonderful view of the lake and was quite spacious but lacked some storage space. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shower was very large and had exceptional water pressure

Beds are a little too firm. Barrel and Co staff need more refinement. Facilities are great and very clean.

Disappointing staff from start to finish really, emailed regarding room and views as the web photos were confusing, email back was incorrect information so had to email again, response was that I was correct the first time, felt unheard especially as I spent A LOT of $ much more than I normally would on a room, but loved the bath in the middle of the room, the size of the room and sweeping views through so many windows :), could have upgraded me to a lakeview for free but you didn't, just kept getting bombarded with emails to upgrade. As for the parking, your council needs to review the paid street parking, it is a wonder anyone comes to town, shocking, no cars, just streets and streets of empty expensive car parks. Your receptionist on arrival was short and rude and didn't phone me when I asked her too phone when our room was ready, she said she would, she was too busy talking to another team member when we came back in to ask as saw others checking in, room was ready. Room had dirty windows, shower outside glass and toilet had a ring around the waterline, the glass was dirty, around the skirtings were dusty and unclean, everything needed a good scrub ie the furniture, i put on a robe and it was crispy stuff, awful, so disappointing when I was treating my partner to an anniversary trip, thank god for the OK view and comfy bed and your lovely english rose in the bar on in the mornings, she was a total asset to your hotel. Your valet parking was expensive, your food whilst very, very good, was way too expensive and the menu that I pulled up did not match what was on the menu downstairs, I.E. Cheeseboards? The bar ran out of the drink I was drinking at lunch and dinner (why could someone not have gone up the road to get another bottle???), I couldn't work out how to use TV properly, can you even watch a movie? I had to cast my Sky GO which I found amusing at the cost we forked out. I found it frustrating that I could not find menus on the TV channel or work the TV properly, which I can work out pretty easily usually. There was a duct above the bed which was very noisy at nights, perhaps it was the air con? no idea but it was a bit of a pain. I did appreciate the sweet treats on arrival and the ice I asked for, so thank you, some messages got through :) There needs to be a brush or dishcloth in the room, I take my tea towels and dish wash but a bit of wash and cloth would be helpful when you only provide the one cup each, I would prefer a teapot in the rooms too, I guess this just isn't a thing anymore or perhaps I could have asked for one at the bar, unsure?

It was my second stay and all the staff I met were just amazing. Even they remember me as well. The lady at Breakfast was lovely.

I had a very comfortable stay at Pullman Rotorua. This was my second staying in this hotel and both times I had a very good experience. This recent visit I had a great room, with a great view from the lake and the room was amazing.

The room is modern and comfortable and the team kindly changed our room to one with a view of the lake. What stands out is the excellent service. Te, Shuichi and the team at Pullman Rotorua are exception and warm. Truly glad we chose Pullman Rotorua!

Dear Pullman Rotorua Management, I am writing to formally complain about several issues during my recent two-night stay at Pullman Rotorua. I chose a five-star hotel because I expected a comfortable and hassle-free experience. Unfortunately, the opposite happened, and I ended up having to deal with a series of unnecessary problems. 1. Room location and noise When making my reservation, I specifically requested, if possible, a higher floor and a quiet room. However, I was assigned a room on the third floor right next to the lift. The room was far from quiet, and I could clearly hear noise from the room above during the night, which affected my sleep. 2. Incorrect parking charge At checkout, I was charged for three nights of parking, even though I only stayed for two nights. Fortunately, I noticed the mistake before completing the payment and had it corrected. 3. Credit card surcharge and incorrect refund I was also charged a credit card surcharge without being clearly informed about it beforehand. This was particularly surprising to me for a five-star hotel. I requested a refund and paid using a bank card instead. However, the initial refund did not include the surcharge amount. I had to contact the hotel again and explain the issue before the surcharge was eventually refunded. 4. An additional $707.98 charge after I had already returned to Auckland The most concerning issue is that, on the day after I returned to Auckland, I discovered that my credit card had been charged NZD $707.98 by the hotel. I have not authorised or agreed to this additional charge, and I would like this amount to be fully refunded immediately. Please also provide a clear explanation of what this charge relates to and why it was processed after I had already checked out. I understand that mistakes can happen, but having multiple billing and service issues during a simple two-night stay is extremely disappointing, particularly from a five-star hotel. I stayed at Pullman Rotorua because I wanted a comfortable and hassle-free experience. Instead, I have had to spend time dealing with incorrect parking charges, unexpected surcharges, an incomplete refund, and now an additional $707.98 credit card charge. I would appreciate it if management could review this matter seriously, confirm the reason for the $707.98 charge, and arrange the full refund as soon as possible.
