Great location. Check in took long. Bathroom had hair on floor from previous guest. Only one hand towel, didn't suffice. Smallish room. Go for it for location.

I was already booked to stay from Monday to Thursday via an agent that my employer uses. Due to weather conditions across the country, I changed my travel and added Sunday night to my accommodation. When I arrived at the Hotel around 5pm the person at reception would not accept my booking as they did not have confirmation of payment. I understand that you need payment for rooms, but I was travelling for business and had booked through a reputable corporate travel agency who had booked my extra nights' accommodation. This was in the middle of a storm that was affecting most of the North Island with people needing to rebook across the country. The person at reception told me I would have to pay for the room myself which I refused to do as I knew that payment would come from my employer. I phoned the travel agent (who was incredibly busy due to needing to rebook across the country, and I could only leave a message) and they eventually made contact with reception who then accepted my booking. This is in addition to you having my credit card details and any additional expenses being covered either by my employer or on my credit card when I checkout! I also needed to have my card reactivated on Monday and Tuesday to access the lifts andmy room.

Overall the stay was good, room was tidy and comfortable. However the breakfast buffet needs improvement, food was either dry or look warm Hashbrown were dry and cold and the beckon was overcooked.

We loved being able to walk everywhere from the hotel. The staff were super helpful and stored our mountain bikes for us. We would definitely stay here again.
