Lobby full of guests waiting to check in and we were all told our rooms were not ready due to a lot of previous guests checking out same day? Read reviews this is a common problem!!! When staff were explaining check in issue they soon stopped coming up with excuses once I mentioned the other reviews I have read. I recommend changing your check in time to a later time, to avoid further issue if rooms can not be ready. We had been given a lake view which you could only see when standing in corner to look out the window, view from bed was whatever the guests in the opposite room were doing. For an IBIS I expected more. We originally had booked with a fantastic place further out of town, however due to hearing of drone show and how busy town parking would be we opted for a stay in town. $320 I'll never get back. Big ups to the young girl who was trainee and having to deal with all check in issues on her own, manager or anyone else was not around to deal with it which was pretty disappointing to see. Felt so sorry for her she did super well. Wish we'd read reviews first before booking. Bathroom had a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner which I didn't want to use on my hair and only 1 toilet roll given, no tissues available. Due to one of us having a cold we used the toilet roll up as no tissues, before breakfast the next day we approached house cleaning for another toilet roll and were met with a rude response by a grumpy women "are you staying another night??" before reluctantly giving us another roll. Felt like saying add the roll to the bill if it's such an issue. She was not hospitable at all. No hand towel in bathroom either. Found a balloon in the cubby hole by the fridge so not sure how much our room was "cleaned" Breakfast was not available at the IBIS so we were sent over to Novotel wish we had stayed there instead such a nice experience for the short time we were there.
