We had a great stay; the room and facilities were immaculately clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, helpful and excellent to deal with. Would stay again. The only downside is that when we went down on Sunday morning, breakfast had concluded early and was not available.

I had booked on-line for one night’s accommodation a month ago but had accidentally selected the wrong date so when we arrived and discovered this, the booking needed to be changed. I was disappointed that the change cost us an additional $70 however the manager kindly gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a view which lessened the impact of the extra charge. We appreciated her gesture and would stay there again as the Ibis is very well located & much less expensive than the neighboring Novotel.

The rooms are modern and refreshed but lend to a terrible sleep. The climate control does not cool effectively nor provide fresh air and rattles at night if left on. The provided pillows sit too high and I often woke with a sore neck. I spent the whole week chasing the temperature dial around trying to find a comfortable level but to no avail. The alternative pillows provided were also too plump.

When we checked in the lady checking us in was very helpful and nice, however, subsequently engagement with another lady who seems to be the more senior of the two, was a dreadful experience. She gave the impression she prefers to be somewhere else. When we asked for the type of toiletries available in the room, her response was appalling poor ..... just her whole delivery. Subsequently when we couldn't get down to the basement by the lift (as the button to the basement was not user friendly as one needs to push very hard on it), she came and assisted very unwillingly, and she needed three attempts before she could activate it.
