Everything is goes very well, even we check in quite late around 9:30 pm. The guys who run night shift serve us very nice, we are very happy. Only small thing on the next day, we requested late check out (1:00 pm), but at 11:00 am the reception call to remain us time to check out.

We visited in the heat of the covid 19 outbreak so that I believe made a big difference. When we arrived hotel staff were cleaning everything. Which ment hallways had heaps of linnen and pillows and empty trash cans every where. This is good and bad to see. Good to know everyone is cleaning and out linnen we're spotless but not so nice to dodge while carrying your baggage. The room was good nice view and everything we needed. Only problem was the TV remote didn't work. Over all not to bad.

Dissatisfied with the trouble we had to use our loyalty points. staff need training from Central management and web site is confusing on this matter

i had booked a stay for 2 nights then realized that we would be needing another night so booked that night seperately, however this caused confusion with the servicing of our room that day. (sunday) we went for brunch at 10.30 am hoping that the room would be serviced by the time we arrived back as the cleaners were in the adjoining room. the please clean me sign was on our door. we arrived back and it wasn't done, so we went out again, returning at 3.30 it hadn't been done so i phoned room service, they said yes it was going to be done, we get a knock at the door for our room service at 5 pm, however by this time we were getting ready to go to dinner so i asked her to come back around 5.30 pm. it took from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm for our room to be serviced, this wouldn't normally have been an issue with us but we really just wanted to relax in our room and nana nap for a few hours from our adventures, instead we felt inconvenienced, we didnt want to rest as to be disturbed by room service so we left to give a chance that the room would have been done. maybe if we were given a time, that would have worked. im not sure why it wasnt done when the lady was next door, i think there was confusion as a young man knocked and asked us if we were vacating the room or staying another night. maybe they were waiting for us to vacate. very frustrating. other than that we had a great weekend.

We were very happy with our room and had a comfortable night. However our experience at breakfast was very disappointing. They ran out of several items and failed to top them up in time for us. They even ran out of coffee cups and we had to use a glass. There were plenty of glasses because they had run out of juice so the glasses were not being used! We have stayed in Ibis hotels in Europe, UK and Australia and have always been pleased. Rotorua let the brand down badly.

The receptionist was very friendly and sorted our rooms very quickly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I did feel like a snack late at night but the menu were meals and I did not want something too heavy to eat before bed. A cookie with my late night cuppa would have been perfect.

Bland and lacks attention to detail

Basic hotel, do not expect much and you will not be disappointed. Lack of detail apparent in: 1. Room bathroom seems clean on the initial review. However step into the shower (Rm 372) and turn around, you will see the right hand side by shower door covered in mold. This is something the cleaner would not see therefore not clean 2. No serviettes at breakfast! Ask for some and reply was 'we have run out'. So nothing to wipe hand or mouth on when eating. Did not anyone think that a quick visit to a supermarket might solve the problem until ordered supplies arrive. Not rocket science! Anyway staff are all pleasant but appear to be inexperienced.
