The hotel is very prominent in the town with great views over the lake and mountains in the distance. We got an upgrade to a quality room on the top floor of the hotel. They provided us with small sweet treats. The bathroom wasn't a seperate room and the roll top bath was in the bedroom, I did use this and it was great. A suggestion would be for the furniture in the room to be shuffled about as the sette is in the wrong position with the chairs. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious, fresh, well presented and great quality. The service was exceptional. However the breakfast had a lack of choice, including breads, and the opposite to dinner, how strange? Such a shame with it being ran in the same venue and from the same kitchen.

Checked in to the hotel after receiving confirmation of suite. Fully charged for king view suite. Go upstairs to the room and realise this is not a suite- no bath tub. Realise this is a superior room. I had to go down to reception and get refunded for the difference. So…upon check in, they knowingly took our money for the suite even though it was a superior room. Completely dishonest and be very careful when you check in with your room type! What a disgrace… and had to explain to very young manager with hardly any service experience. They could not offer me a suite as sold out- despite confirmation in email. Recommend staying elsewhere.

My stay at the Pullman Rotorua was great, everything was incredibly neat and tidy, and the amenities were are top notch. One thing that would have really elevated the experience is a bit more material consistency in the room. The lobby space has lots of beautiful timber, but the hotel itself had alot of imitation wood finishes. Maybe that’s something that’s used to separate the different levels of room, but it felt a bit inconsistent considering the room was otherwise really spacious and beautiful.

Very well positioned hotel in the centre of town and every short walk to the lake. Buffet breakfast very good selection and well presented. Evening buffet was delicious with great choices. However, the rooms are styled so that in some rooms the toilet is in a glass cubicle so everything can be heard. It’s just not very private. It’s just not for us I’m sorry to say. Staff are all very nice and friendly.
