Booked with prepaid voucher, this was a difficult process which required email verification of code and the subsequent phone conversations to make simple booking for one night stay. Upon arrive was informed there was no guest parking without paying additional for valet parking. This was confusing on arrival as there wasn't an obvious place to park prior to checkin (5minute parks were all reserved for valet or coned off). Check in process was long, and again requested copy of voucher (not necessary as already validated), room was generally clean and presentable, but was surprised to be given a disabled room with shower curtain - I would have thought this would have been disclosed when booking the room. Water jug was empty on arrival requiring a trip to the lobby and milk had expired days ago, taking over an hour to be replenished with a fresh bottle. Following morning breakfast was great, but had unexpected call at 12pm asking why we hadn't checked out which made us feel rushed (check out was 1pm as per booking and voucher). We rarely stay in hotels, so had reasonably high expectations as this was a real treat for us. Staff were all very pleasant, well mannered and helpful.

It’s clear we made things more difficult than they needed to be, starting with the voucher process and the confusion around our parking. I also want to apologize for the oversight with your room amenities—finding expired milk and an empty water jug is certainly not the standard we aim for. Most importantly, I’m sorry that our 12:00 PM call made you feel rushed. Your 1:00 PM late checkout should have been clearly noted, and I regret that this marred the end of your stay. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the breakfast and that our team made a positive impression, despite the hiccups. We will be looking into our internal procedures to ensure these issues are improved upon for our future guests, and I thank you again for your review. Check in was friendly and efficient, as was the car valet. We enjoyed your restaurant and also had a glass of wine in the lobby. Location suited us well. We marked you down because we don't like the lack of privacy in the glass-walled toilet and shower, and in particular that the toilet door continually sprung open and has no lock.
