Generally speaking, I think the hotel is very nice and the restaurant is quite adequate. However, there was a mess up with late check out. I was told that for the amount of money specified I could check out at 6 pm then the next day the day I was checking out I was told it was 5 pm. Really disappointed by this. Also, there was a mess up with the invoice billing and I was subsequently received a message to say the wrong card had been charged and so forth Hotel’s great but I have a question against some of the people working there.

The location is very near to my workplace and have convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. The cleanliness is very good and air-condition is good. The only setback during this stay is the food replenishment for breakfast is a little slow, I found some of the food trays emptied and waited for more than 10 mins until they replenish.

Im actually check out from other hotel at 10.30 pm due to the room smell very bad and i cant breathe. So i check out and book Mercure straight away check in at 11 am. When arrived your staff greet me nicely and the room that i got is fantastic. I live it so much because of the bathroom is the closed bathroom compared to other room that we can see the sink outside. And plusss the aircond was already on for me when i entered the room. Really appreciate that. It just your coffee machine doesnt work and the mug too big cant fix it the machine. Other then that was awesome!!!

The room is very comfortable and daily clean. The staffs are helpful and the cleaner also very polite and helpful. Location is only 200 meters from my son’s university so it’s very easy for him to see us anytime. It’s gonna be our favorite hotel for holiday in Malaysia especially in Shah Alam.

Overall, the stay was comfortable, and I had a good rest. The gym was also well equipped and was a positive aspect of the stay. There are, however, several areas that could be improved. Basic necessities are provided only upon request, and the sanitary kit in particular was not available by default. This was somewhat disappointing, as such basic amenities would reasonably be expected to be readily available in the room. I also requested housekeeping to replace the mugs in the room, but was instead provided with a paper cup. This did not adequately address my request. More importantly, I had an unpleasant experience with the front desk when I called at approximately 11:45 PM on 20 September. The staff member interrupted me twice while I was explaining my request, which came across as unprofessional. When I asked about retrieving the mugs, I was instructed to collect them from the front desk rather than having them delivered to the room. Given that the request originated from the room, I would have expected a more guest-oriented approach. I hope the hotel can take this feedback into consideration, particularly regarding staff communication and the handling of guest requests.

Overall, the accommodation and meeting room facilities were good, and I was satisfied with these arrangements. However, there is room for improvement in the food selection and availability. The variety of food offered was quite limited, and the quantity prepared appeared insufficient, particularly during peak dining hours. For example, when I came down for breakfast at around 8.30 a.m., which I believe is still within the peak breakfast period, several food stations were already empty. We had to wait for the food to be replenished. It would be appreciated if the hotel could provide a wider selection and ensure that sufficient quantities are prepared and replenished promptly, especially during peak hours. Apart from this, my overall stay and experience with the accommodation and meeting facilities were good.
