Stayed 4 nights at the Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara with my family and it was one of the best five star hotels we stayed at and we had a wonderful and enjoyable experience throughout our stay. Second time staying at this property and I enjoyed it even better than the first. The Prestige Suite is cozy and comfortable. Comfy bed and duvet blanket. One thing the hotel might want to take note is that it might be time to change the pillows in the room as they are too soft. The pillows are too soft to my liking, it sank in after a while. I called for a couple of foam or latex pillows but the ones delivered were definitely not what we asked for since they were the same as the ones we had. Although you could ask for a firm form pillow, I preferred the memory foam ones. Keep it up. Used to have pillow firmness choice, not anymore. The bathroom is spacious and featuring Hermes toilet amenities. However, there are still improvements needed attention such as bathroom amenities (I have only been provided 1 bottle of Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel and Lotion for families of 5 , even I called to requested more. Would be great if the hotel can provide more than just 2 bottles of each per night. The shower head has all the functions you do not wanna get out of the shower, especially the massage mode. The multi-function shower head is the hero of my PREVIOUS trip, but not this time. Great rainfall shower with weak water pressure. Our room was amazing with anniversary set up which prepared by Excellent Guest Experience Team. They have taken the effort in decorating the room, all of us just stood in awe at the sight of the beautiful decorations and the mini cakes and balloons, fruits and bubble bath. All lovingly prepared with a special touch for my son’s birthday. I am amazed on how Sofitel pay detailed attention to their house guest. We love it very much. Thank you for given us a unforgettable memories. With Club Millesime access, I can choose my breakfast either at Kwee Zeen restaurant which offered wider variety of food or Club Milesime which offered quite place and ala carte breakfast. However, I found out that the breakfast selection at Kwee Zeen is not as fancy as I thought. Not much of varieties, the food was rather underwhelming. Seeing the very same types of food served on our second morning breakfast, we decided to give it a miss and ate at the Club Lounge instead, limited varieties but at least more palatable. For 1st morning breakfasts I had, I was escorted to a table but staffs did not bother to ask whether we would like any coffee or tea. By right the receptionist host after escorting us to our table should have asked us and ordered for us. Breakfast at the Kwee Keen Restaurant is soooo cold with the A/C on full blast. This is something for the hotel management to improve on. Breakfast at club Millesime are serve here for the guests with club access. What I like the most is that they will make your breakfast for you as per your order. I went to the Nizza Restaurant to have my lunch and absolutely the food here is so amazing! Nizza restaurant was the highlight of the stay. Tasty and not too heavy tho. Room service was average, I had room service everyday which was quite reasonably priced and also the food was quickly delivered and nicely presented. The only drawback I found and I have to highlight this is very subjective was the food, I did not find the food to be tasty. The ingredients were all there and were fresh but what lacked was flavor. For instance, the Hainanese Chicken Chop I ordered served with "weird" sauce. Curry Laksa and Fried Rice, which was tasteless, therefore we not ordered again. Even a simple oxtail soup was not cooked perfectly and soft. As I'm allergic to seafood, I requested to personalise the Seafood Aglio Olio by replacing mushroom. It was sent but it was wrongly made. They served me a Seafood Aglio Olio. The French tea time in the club lounge was great although im not a big fan of pastries. During cocktail hours, Club Associates were busying walking around the lounge serving all the guest by tray time to time with individual tapas and snacks in small portion. We enjoy the cocktail session very much as they provide variety of light food like sushi, western & Malay dessert, fruits & etc. To mention is also the full bar set up. There is a good selection of cocktails, mocktails, wines, sparkling wine and liquor unlike many hotel lounges which provided basic house wines. Pool is calm & quiet during our stay, very relaxing, even if the hotel is located nearby the road, you will not ear or feel it ! That is a must ! They have a very nice bar, modern with a large choice of cocktails and food. They had sauna & steam room in their pool toilet. Areas that they really need to improve on is that the steam and sauna facilities are not heated up for usage. It took almost half and hour to heat-up. Steam room is not working properly. There was male staffs in Female Changing Room. Ended up, I didnt try it. One thing which I am quite surprised is that there is no need to scan the room card in the lifts to access to your room. Most of the hotels do have this security system. Overall the stay was immensely enjoyable and I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel. I think that about says it all so go and enjoy! Checked in 16th March for a 2 nights stay due to business meeting. This is my first time staying in a Sofitel brand of hotel and so far, it has meet my expectation of a 5-star hotels. Appreciate these: 1) the room upgrade to a suite, very spacious and modern 2) the free drinks for Accor gold Most important, due to Malaysian law to "lockdown", the hotel is able bill only 1 night stay when I check out on 17th March. My thank you to the hotel.

I had a wonderful two day visit to KL, stating at the Sofitel Damansara. The staff were all wonderful, from the check in and check out to the concierge to the Club Milliseme Lounge. The Concierge recommended an excellent day tour which entertained me with a lovely driver/host. The Italian pool restaurant served great food, although with current health issues, was a little quiet. My suite was delightful with a wonderful bed and great shower facilities. While it is not located in downtown KL, it is sufficiently out to explore local restaurants and bars in Damansara Heights. Well worthy another visit!

I think the staff have to well train on the benefit for the accor plus member.the special welcome drink voucher i need to ask after check in to room then the staff only realize forgot to pass me the voucher.the extension check out time only allow up to 2pm instead of 3pm as the room is available but she said is base on the card status.

there was a power outage for at least an hour at 1 am, aircon and tv were out, phone was out too so couldn't contact front office, had a hard time sleeping with no aircon, power was back for few minutes and then out again kept going like that for a while until I passed out. In the morning for some reason the power outage caused my mobile phone and tablet uncharged, had a lousy day with drained batteries. When checking out, the morning shift front office had no clue about the power outage and very unsympathetic, sigh.

With the hotel that’s less than half full, the duty manager was unable to change one day of a 3 room booking. We had a booking for 1 room for us for 4 days starting on a Thursday and 2 rooms for each of our sons for 3 days starting on the Friday. But changes in work commitments allowed one of them to arrive one day early to be able to stay for 4 days while the other could only come on Saturday and stay for 2 days. The reason given was that we booked through Expedia. It’s a poor excuse or poor hotel policy or insufficient managerial authority given to the staff on duty. Nd despite us advising them that we have stay in that same hotel multiple times last year, it still didn’t make a difference. We were asked to deal with Expedia! I think they don’t realise with are their paying guests filling up their empty rooms even if we did buy it through Expedia.

Long queue at check in, did not get connecting rooms despite assurances from reservation staff that hotel not full and it was not a problem. Hotel did not offer anything to compensate for la know attention. Staff not trained and unsure. Not the standard for hotel like this. Usually we have very positive experience, this time was poor and not enjoyable. Only good thing was dinner at Aniza. Food was good and staff attentive and friendly, professional.

Room facilities are good as well as the services. If only Sofitel located to active mall area which would be helpful in term of to find some entertainment, other options of foods or for shopping purposes.
