Had a great stay at Sofitel with decent facilities and gym. Breakfast was average and some platters were empty. Mattress was a bit too soft and old with a concavity in it. We are supposed to have a 100 USD credit but at check out it was not reflected.

*** Stayed as Accor Platinum Member *** Check in: There were 3 check in counters, however no obvious queue system. The guest in front of me was already disgruntled as another guest just walked past him and cut his queue. Subsequently he highlighted this to a Manager(?) who walked past and he was ushered to the next counter. I also have to highlight to him that I am a Platinum Member, and asks if there is any priority queue. I was later ushered to the Club lounge for check in. With proper signage and queue management, this would have been a more pleasant experience. Room: was informed that the suites were fully booked, but was upgraded to a corner room. It was adequate. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was nosiy even after it was put on low fan. The toilet has a tap for portable water, which is a good sign of the environmentally friendly effort by the hotel owners. Facilities: Gym - was fully equipped with free weights and machine, start of the art and ergonomically useful. Pool - was very small, and it surrounded by tall buildings, which makes it very cold to swim even in the Malaysian weather. Club Lounge - HIGHLIGHT OF THE STAY. The staff were well trained, were able to cater to the needs of the guests. Always feel welcomed. The happy hours offerings were adequate. Breakfast - Ate twice at Kwee Zeen. The breakfast spread was international and adequately caters for various tastebuds. Of note is the CLEANLINESS of the restaurant - the mats and sugar pots are stuck to the table - this means the table has not been wiped for some time. This needs to improve. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. There is room for improvement.

Our first junior suite room had a distinct mould smell and should have not been offered to a staying guest/s. We were immediately moved to another junior suite that was four floors further up and that was perfectly fine. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get up in the morning. Bathroom was nice and clean although it did take sometime for the shower to get hot. The lounge was passable, but limited on options. The buffet dinner was fantastic and a must for future guests. In relation to public transport it isn't very easy to commute from the hotel to the metro, however Grab is neverthless available.

leak in in the bathroom, no mug for the coffee at the 2 first days, I need to claim twice on phone, aircon a bit noisy even I reduced the speed. However comfortable room and I enjoyed my stay
