As usual was good. However, the breakfast options (1 western, 1 Asian) has not changed since the hotel reopened after the MCO in mid 2020. I visit often about once a month and it's boring. You should change the options occasionally

Overall was satisfied with the stay, room size was comfortably enough with the amenities provided. Surrouding the area, the DC mall is abit dead at this moment due to pandemic but still you're able to shop for a quick snacks. Location wise, if you're driving its not a problem at all except surrounding road constructions.

Amazing interiors. The Luxury Room (2 single bed) is big enough for 2. The bathroom is so chic and has a lot of space you can even dance and party. The toilet is separated from the shower. So fancy coz there’s a lot of mirrors. The room has fridge, nespresso machine, full set of wine and champagne glass, A working table and HD TV! yay! The breakfast is plated because of Covid restrictions. How I wish I have stayed on this hotel pre-Covid to experience Breakfast Buffet.

This is our second time staying here and the service is below my expectation compared to the first time we stayed before. Check in process a bit slow as only one counter open for registration but thanks to the FO staff that handle my check in. When i was at the counter for check in, my wife was walking from the entrance with my baby in the stroller and on the other hand pushing the trolley bag towards me, your staff just passing by her with no intention to help her to carry the trolley bag. so sad that the service is not up to Sofitel standard. The Accor status and night point also delay as at today 7th Jan, i’m still waiting for the points to be credited into my account as my checkout was on 3rd Jan

Really enjoy the stay here. Great service. Polite and helpful. Being an Accor Plus silver member, Online check in and with room, key, documents all ready for signature and collection upon arrival with priority check in counter. Welcome drink during the stay and can late check out at 2pm. Redeemed beautiful chocolate cake for my girl birthday. Great food at the restaurant using group dining 50% discount Accor plus voucher. For wine lover, would be very worth while using two nights pay one night voucher at club room with free flow of wine and all meals provided.

First of all, SOP during this COVID time is well kept. Room is very clean, comfy and relatively well maintained. Breakfast was good but wished they could have implemented some sort of ala-carte buffet instead of just the choice of two set meals that include a whole lot of stuff that we’d rather not have. Pastries were outstanding. It would’ve been a 9/10 rating if not for the buzzing in our room(that was expeditiously solved but still bothersome as we had a baby with us.) and the paid parking.

Decline in Quality Post-Covid

I’ve stayed at the hotel several times pre-covid and had been thoroughly impressed with the hotel and rooms. However my recent 3-nights stay post-covid wasn’t as pleasant. We found the rooms to be dated which is sad for a rather new hotel and we also found cleanliness an issue. I would like to first note that service and treatment durinv check-in was efficient and great! Unfortunately, when we first reached the room, we noted that the room was not “sealed” as we have found to be with other hotel rooms to assure guests of their sanitization process. Then upon entering the room, we found a rather unpleasant smell to the room (a somewhat musty smell) as compared to before where we remembered that the hotel and its rooms had a very pleasant fragrance to it. Then we found that the bed was rather unkempt, where even the side sheets hadn’t been tucked in properly, which made us question whether the room had been sanitized and cleaned properly. We also found the nespresso pods offered by the hotel covered with dust, which meant that the pods weren’t replaced after the last guest had checked out nor was it even sanitized, something that we felt should be weighed on heavily during this pandemic, especially by a 5 star hotel. Throughout our stay, we found housekeeping to be severely lacking; our used towels were left behind even though new towels were given, the bed sheets were not changed (which I may understand) but during our whole stay we found the bed to not have been made properly with the sheets untucked etc. I would expect this from a normal 3 star hotel but again not from a 5 star hotel. All in all we were quite disappointed in our stay this time especially since the hotel at their site had stated that they had put in place “the most stringent cleaning standards and operational protocols in the world of hospitality and as mandated by the government” - unfortunately we saw none of this. Sofitel should perhaps take note from other Hotels in KL that we found to have done much better in this.

Overall are good, but the pillow was too soft. Its quite hard to fall asleep as we need the pillow to support, just like lying on the bed without the pillow.

The room size is nice but some part of the furniture was well maintained. The cabinet door housing the mini fridge was loose. The tea cup was stained. During Covid-19 pandemic, food choices were limited and the breakfast set on offer is expensive.

I can see the hair from previous guest on the bed when I just checked in , the carpet got lots of dirty things on it and remain for 8 days , it shows that they didn’t vacuum during the house keeping , the towel already become yellow , should change new set , and the table still can see the food mark from previous guests, overall the hygiene is terrible

Checking in and out went without a hitch. Service staff were great at all levels. Rooms were big, spacious, comfortable, and had a tint of luxury whilst still being affordable. Was obsessed with the toiletries that were of top quality and smelt super sophisticated. Ordered mainly room service and the food was top notch. On top of that, it's well located.
