What a fantastic place, service was excellent, Christmas tree still in the main entrance in early January. A super classy elegant setting. The food was superb and Harry & Natasha could not have done more to make it a special event.

Reviewing a legend of hospitality is no easy. Raffles Singapore has welcomed royalty and rock stars for over a century, preserving tradition without sacrificing comfort and implementing modernization. The hotel is simply magnificent. Tropical gardens meticulously maintained. Beautifully preserved, every corner is polished and perfectly pressrved. Not a single element is out of place: impeccable. From the moment you walk in, to the simplest gestures at breakfast, the staff remembers your name, your choices, your habits. I don't recall such excellent service in any other hotel in the world I've stayed in. The rooms are beautiful, perfectly soundproofed. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom features a colonial-style bathtub and shower. It's a shame to leave.

Well, when i booked Raffles I thought is going to be the best experience ever. But was the worst experience ever. I booked the hotel 7-8 months in advance and i booked also the transfer from/to the airport. Before arrival nobody ask me when i will arrive. I said that will be 2 adults and 2 children age 12 instead of 3 adults and the children also at the check in i give them the passports for 2+2, they had noted the initial reservation. After the check in a Buttler came and she said that in case we need anything to contact her… how? Nobody knows. For the all period she never called her to ask if we’re ok or need anything. I asked if i can smoke and they bring me an ashtray outside. They cleaned only once in a day… i thought in a 5 star hotel when someone from cleaning staff is passing by will clean in… but no. One morning one of my daughter find in her omelette a beautiful long black hair. I asked someone to see… I didn’t start to scream… i told him only: do you see what i see? He started to apologize and he said because of that will get a free dring and a reservation at the Long bar. We said thank you, but when we went to the bar.. no reservation, nobody knew anything. We were lucky that we found a place to stay and thank god we can afford to pay for a drink. Around the hotel a lot of tissues, other things on the floor, in the garden.. ah, another thing, please for breakfast put a dress code, lot of people comes in sport shorts, is in appropriate for the hotel history and name. Well, these are my complaints. For the money i paid… i was expecting really 5 stars services!
