Far too expensive for what it is. Been before, food poor in both restaurants in the hotel and overpriced. Service in the bar is awful. £100 for 2 nights for our dog, that used to include treats and a bed now there is nothing provided. Free newspaper never arrived, free drink was nearly missed if I hadn’t checked the bill. Won’t be back.

We enjoyed a family break for the weekend with a visit to Santa who was excellent. We dined in the Clubhouse and Italian restaurant both were excellent experiences with lovely food. We were disappointed the sports bar wasn't full open and serving food / drinks, this was not advised as we were booking or checking in. The bar was still open as a lounge and kids were welcome. The hotel is beautiful with an excellent location, St Andrews is lovely to wonder round. We made use of the hotel facilities including the pool, massage and the cinema! My observation was that the staff were quite stretched particularly at the main bar and restaurants. They were very attentive but under pressure given the number of guests and time of year this was evident at the bar, breakfast, restaurants and facilities. The were all extremely helpful, friendly and lovely but may benefit from some extra support.

Having stayed in the Fairmont on a number of occasions, I can honestly say, that the level of service and hospitality on my most recent stay, was the best yet. Every member of staff was exceptional. The breakfast, very good, and overall experience, most worthy of the five stars they have.

This was our 3rd stay at the hotel. First time at Xmas. Beautifully decorated. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is fab, our favourite meal when staying.

Hotel was lovely, staff all very nice, especially at breakfast. It was just a bit too hot.
