We've been going up to the Fairmont St Andrews with family and friends for many years now. It's always a wonderful and welcoming experience. Earlier this year we had the unique opportunity to try out the chauffeur-driven experience available at the hotel with one of our favourite concierges - Kevin Gordon! We were driven round St Andrews in a beautiful top-of-the-line, not yet available on the market, luxury BMW i7 while he delivered a brilliant historical retelling of the history of the town in the course of an hour. My wife and I would highly recommend you speak with Kevin or one of the other concierges about this. And if you you think you already know all about St Andrews you might be surprised. Golf at the fairmount

Arranged to play golf at the Fairmount on a Friday morning in mid September. Early start from Glasgow so planned to make use of the fabulous clubhouse for breakfast before our mid morning t time. On arrival, we were told there was no food available...there was no chef available and no way that food could be provided - 5 star resort with a hotel 300 yards away! To add insult to injury the Half-way house was also closed (on a Friday afternoon!). So no food available for any golfers before or during and 6+ hour visit to the course. Since then I have emailed the resort 3 times to raise a complaint. I received one response from a member of the admin staff saying that someone from the resort would be in touch. This was a month ago now. This is maybe a reflection of the levels of service provided at the Fairmount St Andrews?

We go to the Fairmont at least once a year, we love it. The last couple years we have been a little disappointed by different things. The pool is unpleasantly cold now, probably trying to save money but when you pay £450 for a room you really do expect better. It definitely needs some money spent on the pool area. They said they would text when our room was ready but didn’t, meaning my husband had to wait in a large queue again until 4.30 and rooms should be ready at 4. From my 8 year experience, the room has never been ready before 4. We went in the October school holidays, usually they have bouncy castles and games for the kids but they didn’t have it this year which was disappointing. The kids games room has been the same for all the years we have been coming here. It needs refurbished asap. We had dinner at the clubhouse, we love it here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff are always so lovely too. Breakfast was lovely as usual, plenty choice and attentive staff. We will be back, my kids love it here.

My husband and I stayed with you on Saturday 12th October for one night - a night away for my husbands birthday. We checked in just after 4pm and went to our room, which was lovely. However, when we returned after dinner in La Cucina, the room was filled with a smell of sewerage - coming from the bathroom and there was a leak in the wardrobe (see attached photos). My husbands tshirt and shirt were covered in some kind of liquid. We rang reception and we were moved to another room. The employee who came up to the room with our new key, commented on how strong the smell was and we also pointed out the leak in the wardrobe. We changed rooms just after 11pm. It was definitely not what I expected of the Fairmont which I had booked for my husbands birthday. When we were checking out, one of the management team said she would refund our drinks and deposit (£103) - the card machine would not work so she took my bank details and said this would be transferred to my bank account. She also said she would email me with an offer to stay some other time to make up for the inconvenience and the ruined clothes. So far, I have not received an email or refund.

Beautiful, peaceful and so relaxing . The foods is fantastic. Very delicious the beverages is excellent.

Came here to Fairmont hotel St Andrews for 3 days . We drove from Edinburgh. Arrived at 2.00 pm we ate lunch…, waited , waited for two and a half hours couldn’t get a room . We booked and paid the room at Fairmont St Andrews hotel around two weeks ago. The receptionist lady said awaiting for the rooms to be ready???? Until two and half hours still not ready !!! I was so angry and tired until I called the assistant manager for foods and drinks . Asking Mr James Keith to helped us 🙏🙏 Mr James Keith is a wonderful gentleman and got us a room within 10 mins for room 2066 🙏🙏🙏 we are so grateful to him Mr James Keith 🙏🙏🙏🙏 thank you so much Mr James Keith we are so grateful for ur helped . You should be the next General Manager for Fairmont hotel St Andrews. 🙏🙏🙏
