Staff was very good and accomodating especially concierge, every single member of concierge was extremely helpful and made it so much easier to go places. I actually walked out of my initial booking with another hotel which was advertised as great but was terrible, mercure was an upgrade to that. I only had a couple of days to spend but do suggest the rooms get aired out more often as the musty smell is terrible. The beds need a definite moving and cleaning underneath and around as well. I give 10 to the hospitality and staff, its just the actual rooms that get the 7.

The best part of my stay was the early check-in. I really appreciated being able to check in at 10:00 thanks to my Platinum status. The room was clean, spacious, and I received a +1 category upgrade. However, there was no welcome amenity in the room, and none was delivered later. Although there are two restaurants right in front of the hotel, the welcome drink cannot be used in either of them. After the Executive Lounge closed at 21:00, my only option for the welcome drink was a very limited selection (beer or soft drinks) to pick up at reception. This felt far below the usual Mercure standard — more comparable to Ibis or Ibis Budget. Breakfast was average and nothing special. On a positive note, they offer Eggs Benedict, which I always appreciate, although mine were overcooked — still acceptable, as these things can happen.

Have stayed at this hotel many times. The location is good, and one can walk to many vartious restaurants, bars, skytrain station, and a Mall. However, the location (Sukhumvit soi 11) has also newly become a hotbed for drugs (bot legal and illegal). There are probably 20 outlets (Bars and other street vendors) selling Cannabis. In addition there are all the people on the streets trying to sell stronger drugs to people passing by. One can not walk through soi 11 without passing clouds of the smoke from the cannabis places. The rooms are big, the staff are very service minded. Check inn and out is easy. The food is terrible. Sorry but the contracted restaurant is not really good. The quality of the room service food is not up to standard. I like this hotel, despite fact the location might not be the best anymore. I will return.
