The location is perfect. The breakfast however is limited. The room lacks amenities. No electric kettle and no fridge. However, the TV can connect to youtube. The room is not sound Prof. I could hear people walking outside the room some small chatter. The reception are quite welcoming.

The housekeeping was bad and irregular: they did not clean our room daily and when they did, they removed the bath mat and did not provide us with a new one. The heating did not work properly and the room was cold, it was uncomfortable to sleep at night. In addition to this, the drainage in the shower was poor and the water drained slowly, which is something I have never experienced at a three-star hotel before. The cold water in the bathroom sink had no pressure, effectively making it difficult to use the cold water there. Surprisingly, the bar staff were not able to serve simple black coffee in the morning, even though we offered to pay for it. The staff were nice, but it's a definite letdown that you're not able to get coffee in the morning. Your only option is to pay for their breakfast buffet, which we decided not to do, because you can get a much better breakfast elsewhere in Riga. Most hotels actually provide tea and coffee for free, but ibis Riga does not serve it to you even when you offer to pay for it. The location and the relatively low price are perhaps the only positive sides of this hotel. However, you can get a much better hotel in Riga by paying just a little more, which is what we would definitely recommend doing. Our stay at ibis Riga did not meet our expectations, despite good experiences at hotels from the ibis chain in other European cities.

Location is nice, staff is nice, on the pillows and comforter there were a bit of someone’s hair so that’s why it won’t get 10. Also the floors are very creaky like especially
