The location is good, but the stay was not. There was a lot of noise during the night (either from a washing machine or something similar), and early in the morning someone started using a vacuum cleaner (at about 6 o'clock), so I couldn’t sleep at all :'). The room location was probably the issue as I believe other colleagues did not have the same issue. Also the staff seemed a bit standoffish. I also noticed during breakfast that the cutlery was not properly cleaned.

The location next to shopping mall and railway station is very good for visitors staying longer than just a few days in Riga. The breakfast is very good. However the rooms and communal areas are a bit rough around the edges and in need of a refresh. Comfortable room but housekeeping was a bit hit-and-miss. And reception staff would definitely benefit from a course in friendly, welcoming and engaging customer service skills! But, overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Room cleaning wasnt very good. There was not bidet shower in the bathroom. At breakfast, there was unnecessary congestion when picking up dishes and food because cutlery and plates are difficult to find. Your serving table is difficult to use because there is a small, narrow recess in the middle where you can't easily pick up food, and we customers often got stuck in that spot. I feel that the placement of the food was unsuccessful because they were reaching over each other and the customers' clothes hit the food. It was really difficult for a wheelchair user to reach up to pick up food. Your staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Yes, thank you. ⁠

Mercury is always a safe choice and as an Accor member I favor stays within the membership. We had a lovely stay but there were a few things which could be improved: - check-in was stalled by problems with hotel's system: if I did not have my Accor app, the hotel would have charged me 150 dollars more than what I was supposed to pay. Through the app and confirmation on the amount due to the hotel, we could proceed with the actual check-in. So overall I would recommend to fix inconsistencies between the app and the hotel's booking platform. - we booked in January and requested adjacent and connecting rooms. I received an email confirming that this was possible and would have been offered to us. When we arrived, they concierge mentioned that the email was wrong and that connecting rooms can only be offered upon availability at check-in. Since the hotel was fully booked, this could not be provided to us. What I do not understand is how is priority allocated: I booked in January and asked for connecting rooms. Therefore, upon request, the reservation of connecting rooms should be made and not 4 months later. - one of the two rooms we were given was not freshly cleaned. I had to report to reception about 3-4 things in need of attention such as dusty desks and side beds, hair on the floors, malfunctioning soap dispenser in the bathroom, and dirty towels. - breakfast was poorly managed: the queue was insane on the two days we were there and there were barely plates, forks and some of the food left already at 9.30am when the breakfast was supposed to end at 10am. - the spa center was closed for renovation which was not indicated anywhere on the Accor website or the hotel booking confirmation. Since this was one of the reasons we chose the hotel, it would have been nice to be informed.
