The location is metres away from the Central Station shopping mall so it is easy to get there. Riga is a very walkable city and almost anywhere in the centre is within 25 minutes' walk. But it's also a pleasant place to be in its own right, with helpful staff.

Hello, sorry to write this negative comment as I usually enjoyed your hotel but this honestly it was not a good experience. I did choose in purpose the Mercure Hotel in Riga instead of lower quality hotel to get a good experience for my first time in Riga but things went not as expected. I booked a room for potentially 3 people (exclusive room with a big bed and a coach) but at the moment of the booking we were supposed to be 2. Unfortunately at the last minute, we were finally 3 instead of 2. When we arrived at your hotel, I did specify this change directly at the check-in. I was very surprised by the person in charge who directly complained to me that I should have call much earlier for that kind of request. I did explain the case that it was a last minute change and I couldn't anticipate but still It was really bad feeling. I have to apologize to be a customer ... After few minutes, finally the person in charge still not happy and showing it clearly, found a solution by adding an xtra bed in another room (single bed only no coach, not what I booked) and has no time to prepare the bed then we had to do it ourself. I was really surprised by the strange reaction of your staff. Not sure I will come back to this hotel next time (as I will have to come regularly in Riga in the next 2 years).

Room is not so good, additional bed for child was put in the middle of the room, there were no space to go in the room. Towers are not so white. In the reception clerk trainee speaks very bad English, he could not open the gates then leaving for 3 times. Breakfast is ok.

It is well located, just next to Origo shopping mall and a few meters away from the bus stop to the airport.
