Staid here before and it has dropped in standards for sure. Not the fault of the hotel but a bollard is up at certain times which means driving to the hotel via a Sat Nav is impossible. Picked the hotel because of the car parking on-site and clearly the hotel is aware of the closure but does not pre warn guests? Also, Bristol has a green air policy and this is £9 per day so be warned. That aside when I checked in the bar manager was verbally abusing the receptionist about a bottle of water. This played out in front of guests??? The standard room, 146, is tiny literally could not walk around the bed. Room was dirty, cobwebs and mouldy curtains. Using the lifts is an issue as the staff use them, cleaners etc… which isn’t great as even the first floor is up 4 flights of stairs. The staff are a mixed bag I got very little hellos back and that pretty much sums up the hotel. If you want city centre and no engagement then book here, if you want more well consider other options. Doubt we will return which is a shame as we love the Mecure chain.

Paid for a 4 star hotel and got a 2 star experience. I wouldn’t be rushing to book again.

The room we had was very small and more suitable as a cupboard. The bathroom was not better.the lift in the car park wasn’t working and we were on the 3rd floor with a lot of luggage. One of the two lifts in the hotel also wasn’t working They also ran out of a popular larger on a Friday over Christmas period. Friends who als stayed had to complain three times that the heating wasn’t working. On the third time they were given the office heater and had to take it to the third floor themselves. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel I have experienced better in 2 star hotels.

Terrible. Arrived only to be informed by a notice on reception that there were events on in the hotel that would cause noise disruption. There was actually a kickboxing event and a Christmas party happening in the two function rooms. The music was so loud we couldn't even hear the TV in our room. This went on until 1 am. Unable to contact reception at all. Phone just rang out for 4 hours.

We were somewhat dismayed to find the spa and pool( one of the reasons I booked the hotel) .the search engine had used didn’t show that it was no longer available .
