MWH2014 TripAdvisor review

All great, slept fine, very quiet and air con kept the temp very comfortable. In daylight the carpet of my single room looked very dirty, and there was a clothes moth on the table next to the bed. 152. The carpet also looked very moth eaten to the left of the bed.

Great location for a stay in Bristol...excellent evening meal and breakfast...staff very friendly and helpful

Well located for shopping& great food venues! Staff are friendly& we’re very helpful to us. the hotel overall was bustling which was what we wanted.

Plus, our team being friendly and helpful is the cherry on top – they really are the bee's knees, aren't they? But oops, it seems like our aircon was playing a bit hard to get. We're usually on the ball with making sure things run smoothly, so it's a bummer that it gave you the cold shoulder, or should I say, the inconsistent temperature! Very well located and appointed hotel. Fair price for location. Service was friendly. Room was very spacious and bed very comfortable. Heating worked well - large window made it chilly without in October. Good sound proofing. Overall, a decent stay and would use again.

We have stayed at The Grand Hotel in Bristol several times now. This was our most disappointing stay. I had booked a standard double room as previous times, but the room was extremely small. The bathroom was very dated with a shower curtain replacing a broken screen. The wall profile for the original screen was stoll in place. The shower curtain was also too long and lay in the bottom of the bath, which meant you could step on it while showering. The bathroom also had some black mould at the tile grout and sealant joint. The air-conditioning unit was also very noisy. We requested a room change on arrival but we were told that the hotel was full.
