Stayed at the hotel recently and used their car park, which I paid for in full at the reception. Thought nothing of it until I got a £100 parking fine in the post days later. I contacted the hotel and the parking company with proof of payment, but was basically told it was out of their hands. So now I’m being charged again for something I already paid for. What kind of setup is this? If a hotel can’t ensure its guests are protected from dodgy third-party parking fines, that’s a huge red flag. Totally ruins the experience and makes you feel like you’re being scammed. Won’t be staying here again – not because of the room or service, but because I don’t like being fined for following the rules. Avoid unless you’re happy to pay double for parking and waste your time chasing appeals.

We were comfortable and slept well However it felt slightly budget rather than grand because : There were no drawers just a few shelves, very limited storage No biscuits No welcome pack The lighting was rubbish so the room was rather dark

The room in general was great; spacious and well equipped (sockets in sensible places!). The bed was huge, clean and comfortable. However, the rest of the soft furnishings showed signs of wear, with tatty edges on the carpets and some stains to the carpet and armchair. There were also a few areas in need of a new lick of paint. Despite this, we had a great stay - it had everything we needed. The location can't be faulted and would definitely use this location again.

Staff were really welcoming on reception and check in was quick! We arrived a little bit earlier than check in but our room was ready for us. Our room was lovely! Everything we needed for our stay was in there including an iron and ironing board!! We had a fridge which was handy and also were left some complimentary drinks which was a nice touch! The room was spotlessly clean which really is the main thing and so was the rest of the hotel! Breakfast was great, lots of choice of hot and cold. Staff in the restaurant and bar were all pleasant. The location is excellent. Central to lots of bars, restaurants and the Hippodrome Theatre. Only a short walk away from the train station and Cabot Circus. Overall the hotel is fantastic I would definitely stay again.
