Nice staff but the rooms are rather in need of redesign. The bathrooms are very small even in big rooms. The rooms are cold and there windows are not double glazed...

We were at a family wedding hosted at the hotel. Everything was lovely especially mixed with that little bit of Christmas. Staff were great, our room was great. Although metal doors on wardrobes are rather noisy but look good.

On arrival the team know it was our 17th anniversary and were very helpful and friendly, we stayed in room 208 which was amazing. We even had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. Brilliant stay.

Perfect location - could do with a bit of tidying up in rooms and common areas including stairs .Looking a bit tired and dirty.

Booked on Hotels.com to spend a couple of days with a friend to explore Bristol. Lovely location but were disappointed that the SPA was closed. This was not advised in advance at all. Everywhere could do with a deep clean and paint, although I understand the challenges the hotel sector have had during the pandemic. Breakfast was great.

Disappointed as bar closed at 11 on new years eve. Having emailed your hotel prior to stay to check it was suitable to meet 4 friends for a drink in your bar for Nye. We then booked 4 rooms. After a meal out we returned to a closed bar & ended up wondering the streets at 11. Other guests in similar position were stood outside or crammed on sofas in reception. Very very disappointing. Other than that, reception staff very helpful on check in & clean hotel. Nice rooms.

We had trouble finding the hotel and car park as roads had changed - closed/turned into bus lanes or one way streets- recently, so gps was confused . We phoned the hotel and the guy who answered very quickly directed us - told us to put in The Galleries carpark and that would get it to right side of the city. The hotel room was clean but basic but for £97 including breakfast for 2 - it was good. Breakfast was lovely. Mattresses were hard but still slept ok. The hotel is located well in a central location so easy to walk to where we needed. Though we didn’t realise the water taxis weren’t running so had a very long walk to get to SS Great Britain.

Beautiful and impressed with initial experience. Lovely room and service. The bed was really uncomfortable though and we didn’t sleep well. It had a mattress topper but was still hard. Then we turned up for breakfast and the staff initially said we couldn’t have it. The signage was confusing but they argued the point and made us feel that we were in the way. It wasn’t relaxing at all so we left under a cloud. We also tried to call reception on three occasions and couldn’t get anyone to pick up.

I woke up to find the window wide open and my little daughter standing at the window looking out not realising the danger To be fair the manager handled it like a true leader with perfection but it could of been such a different outcome

This place was run down and the rooms were downright creepy. I kept expecting a ghost child to be hanging around each corner as I walked around the property. It doesn’t cost much to apply a coat of paint to the walls and to swap out the carpets and repair creepy floorboards

Advertised as an accessible 4 star hotel. Neither are accurate. Do not book this hotel id you have a wheelchair or pushchair there are steps out the front and lifts are very small. The car park loft is also tiny. Cleanliness of the rooms was also not up to scratch. Found wine stains on bathroom floor that weren’t mopped properly. Pull out sofa bed for children was not comfortable and a saggy. Staff were helpful but this is not a 4 star hotel.

Grand hotel , they should remove the word grand as it’s far from it. Missing buttons in the lift , and in the room there was ripped net curtains , faulty shower , no tv remote and tv not fixed correctly , also the food was horrible. One night stay for 2 with breakfast £144 Did not email my bill to me or refund the £50 they charged to my card until I rang them 4 day later.

A fantastic hotel in the heart of Bristol and a great location for site seeing. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was excellent . Good parking rates if you are driving there. We will be booking again for our next trip to Bristol.
