I stayed at the hotel with my family for 2 nights, we’ve been to Bristol before a few times but stay at other hotels. Mercure grand Bristol is by far the best I’ve stayed in Bristol yet, I had a family room booked which was clean, spacious and AC was working perfectly (thank god). We were welcomed at the reception by Mahin, he was very kind and helpful with the guidance regarding the hotel spaces and Car park. The restaurant staff were amazing, and had good variety of food. Overall, it was a superb stay over the weekend, would definitely come here again and highly recommending to everyone!
Don’t stay here if you want a quiet drink in the bar after 10pm

My friend and I visited Bristol for a birthday theatre trip , on first glance it’s pleasant enough… however twin standard room was very basic ( nowhere to hang a dress ) this was a problem for two Ladies traveling on a hot summer weekend. Ideally situated for Bristol hippodrome however we couldn’t get a drink in the bar past 10 pm ! We’re two mature ladies who didn’t feel safe having a post show glass of vino in the city so we decided to go back to the hotel only to be told as soon as we walked into the bar at 10.45 on a Saturday night that the bar was closed! It’s been this was since the pandemic …Apparently . We asked it’s closed even to residents and we’re told yes ! It was my 50 th birthday so I’m not ancient by a long way and I’m not ready for bed before 11 in a Saturday night!! I complained in the morning to just be shrugged at! My friend left her make up bag behind also so not only could we not get a drink it seems they have dishonest cleaners too. We’ll stay at the Clayton next next time it’s much nicer.
Short one night stay

Hotel lovely and friendly staff, only down side room on small size when using as twin. Body wash etc nice smell, shower good. Parking would be tight for those not good in small spaces. Taxis in Bristol expensive.

Such a great find. The kids menu had great veggie options too. Milkshakes great and good selection of beers. Our server Tristen was top notch, really cool guy. Wonderful food. Felt really welcomed, 100% coming back!
