I stayed in room 340. The room was quiet, with a large and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, and the staff were excellent and very kind. A special thank you to Robin at the reception for his helpfulness and professionalism.

Brilliant stay. Fabulous location. From check in to check out could not fault it. Room was lovely. Super clean and comfortable. Air con worked perfectly. A lovely touch was a complimentary drink at the bar which we took up. Environment was lovely as were the staff. Breakfast was great with lots of variety. I find it hard to believe some of the negative reviews on here. My question is....What is wrong with some people???? Thanks team for a great stay. Will definitely be back again.

I booked a room for two people and got a room with a bed that was almost impossible to walk around, noisy air conditioning when it was switched off, thread bare and moth eaten carpet and, probably the worst thing of all, one measly towel to share between two people! Particularly nasty experience.

Probably the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Unfortunately we were staying next to some very noisy guests, a combination of very thin walls and very loud people meaning that you could hear entire conversations and TV. This from 1am onwards until early hours. It's understandable that the hotel can't control everything but while explaining this during check out the reception staff simply just couldn't have cared less. If you do choose to stay here just be prepared for the noise.

It was an impressive victorian hotel centrally located with a modern twist, we had a beautiful large room, but round the edges, some maintenance was forgotten. However, still comfortable clean room and comfortable bed. But the most outstanding part of our stay were the staff. We were met by Robin who was the new head of the department and genuinely cared about giving excellent customer service and nothing was too much trouble. A truly outstanding young man. Whilst looking for recommendations for food one of the chefs Lucius gave us the complete rundown of places to go and the styles of food around. Both were very enthusiastic and passionate about their job and caring for our needs . The next day when we went down for breakfast the staff were very professional and caring, and nothing was too much trouble. I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and it’s the staff what makes the difference. People that genuinely care about making your visit special. Highly recommend staying.
