We are regular guests at the hotel and always enjoy our stay A small and unpretentious hotel with comfortable and clean rooms ,very friendly and helpful staff ,a small and friendly bar with a good food menu all freshly prepared During our stay the Air conditioning in the rooms was being upgraded which worked perfectly This is a fantastic hotel located in the heart of the City Centre ideally located with all the city s attractions within easy walking distance We highly recommend it especially for a short stay Karen & Jeff H.

Everything fine except that both bedside lamps had broken bulbs. I forgot to report it when I left but the same was true for my previous visit a few weeks earlier. If that was thought to be a convenient cost saving measure, I disagree.

Good service however room lacking

We were placed at a room facing the roadside so I was woken by the on-off sounds of the vehicles zooming by. At first I thought the windows were not closed, but soon realised that the sound came through even with the windows closed. Then the airconditioning/heater had this tick tick sound that came on randomly during the day - and especially in the night. It was difficult to determine what caused the sound, and just came on randomly. Imagine when I was just about to fall asleep, a car passed by outside and woke me up, then after trying hard to get back to sleep, the ticking started! Needless to say it was frustrating and I did not have a good night sleep at all, which was the exact reason why I booked at Ibis! On the last morning of my stay, I was woken up in the morning by renovations on the third floor. That was pretty much the last straw and I can safely say, I will never stay at IBIS Cardiff again! Service was good, room was clean - hence the 6/10.

Walking distance from the station and near Cardiff centre. Comfortable bed. Unfortunately we had a disturbed night on Friday 25th June with inconsiderate noisy guests above us and in the next room until 3.00 am! Perhaps we should have phoned reception. We didn’t fancy going in the corridor, where a lot of their loud discussions and arguments were going on.

Great staff, hideous nights sleep

Hideous first night as other guests screaming and shouting in corridor for hours until another guests when out and shouted at them to shut up. Feel it shouldn't of got that bad and reception or police should me chucked them out a lot sooner.

Worst Stay ever.

I wouldn't expect such fraud from such reputed brand IBIS. Firstly the room shown in the picture on website was entirely different. I am being cheated by providing a worst room ever. We didn't get even water in our room. Towels were smelling like poop. No Toiletries were given to use. Toilet roll was of worst quality. AC was not working in this High temperature summer. I want full refund of my money. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone Rather I would not recommend IBIS Hotels to anyone . Regards, A. 07…

The staff were very lovely and polite. The room was good, with a comfy bed and lots of TV channels. The bathroom was good with a nice hot shower and provided soap, although there was no hand soap. Overall a very lovely experience.

Enjoyed our stay considering the restrictions in place it was run well. The staff were very helpful. The only think I would suggest is on the Saturday morning breakfast was a bit hectic no ones fault just busy but you needed another member of staff to clear tables, I dont see why one of the two cleaners that morning could not have helped out for 30 minutes

Unable to get into our room with all our things in at 10pm

Would award 0 stars if I could. Was locked out of our room when we arrived back at hotel at 10pm after food and drinks. We was then placed in another room with none of our stuff to sleep. After sleeping in another room we then got into our own room at 7am. I tried to complain at reception when leaving and she told me she would investigate and email me however I haven’t had any explanation and no apology.

Before my stay I contacted Ibis regarding my unease at travelling and they agreed to defer my visit until next year rather than refund. I have since not had email confirmation, and worse, they keep sending me emails saying how they are looking forward to seeing me, that I can check in on line, and not they hope I enjoyed my stay. Obviously they do not care enough to realise I have not been, nor confirm deferred booking. Just kept my money.

We were not able to stay as we were and still are unable to leave Australia. So far after numerous emails we have not been given a refund, even though the Accor website states we are entitled to one. So I would have to say the service is non existent and I would not rate them very well at all

A hotel in a great location. Nice rooms, clean and tidy. Flat screen t.v. in room and tea/coffee making facilities available in rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Wi-fi available in hotel and restaurant service

Dirty noisy room.

My stay was terrible. There was a badly cleaned pile of sick in the corner with stains on the wall and still sick on the carpet, the room did not feel clean. The room next door were plating music loudly until late. The curtains did not close and the street light was right outside the window shining in through the gap. All in all a terrible nights stay. I will not be staying with IBIS again. I have made a complaint about the sick stained floor but am yet to hear back.
