Some of the staff weren’t really helpful and there mannerisms isn’t to hospitality standards as per experiencing with other Novotels. Also the cost of the car parking should be more clear if you stay multiple days.

While there was notification that a new tower was being built, we weren't notified that we were literally in the middle of the construction site. Our balcony had a steel cage right next to it and the window to our bedroom was looking straight into the construction site. On top of that, the air conditioning in our room malfunctioned and would not cool the room down, it was hovering at 25 degrees before we were offered fans to help make us more comfortable. Paying over $400 for a room with these issues has left a sour taste in my mouth, i expect premium for that rate, not a building site with a broken air conditioner.

We have stayed here a number of times over the last 4 months and prior to arriving, understood that work was taking place Monday-Friday 8-5 with some noise, as per your email. We specifically booked the Friday night to avoid being woken up by work noise. We were in room 622 and were woken up on Saturday morning by the noise of workmen talking loudly, tools and music. We had a long drive ahead of us that day so this was very disappointing and had we known, we would have booked elsewhere in Geelong as the lack of a sleep in impacted us throughout the day as we travelled. Room was OK, staff friendly and buffet breakfast good as usual.
