Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. Location close to cafe's and shops as well as Corio Bay waterfront was excellent.

Beautifully located and the bar and restaurant offered great drinks and food. and great breaky! No onsite parking and they charge extra for valet and charge for self parking. But no attentive valet or concierge on arrival or departure. The level of customer service was below average. Far below the usual Accor high excellence. Also couldnt add my accor membership to the booking as it was booked by a 3rd party and the front desk wasnt interetesd in telling me about any Accor benefits at this hotel. However for breaky the waitress did ask me if i was a member and gave me a discount.

staff were friendly , mini bar wasn not full , got charged for drinks we did not have but was easily resolved with a phone call , we will be back

Enjoyed our 4 night stay but to elevate the Novotel to a higher level of accomodation some simple changes are required. Cannot understand that there are no toilet brushes in each bathroom. Who wants to clean a dirty toilet by hand? Side tables near beds need to have a drawer in them. Not possible to place all things on top of table when there is already a phone and lamp. Consistent communication between downstairs staff and room service about what can or cannot be ordered through room service. Received mixed advice on kid's menus and what was available. Better communication of times when rooms can be serviced. Never knew when staff would arrive to service rooms so as we could vacate whilst rooms were done. A wider range of meals and desserts in restaurant (Tempo) for children. Maybe introduce a breakfast menu for those that do not like a buffet style breakfast or would just like something simple. Need to widen the range of tea available at breakfast. Just some common Dilmah or Liptons instead of fancy type teas. Whilst "old Hat" maybe some printed material in rooms for the more elderly, who cannot use QR codes or read small print on mobile phones, about services and local shopping and restaurants.

Great location, staff friendly however could use some training. On check in we were not given any hotel information, not even pointed to the lifts. Breakfast selection really lovely, first morning we were again not given any information, would have been nice to be advised that eggs could be made to order and you could purchase barrister coffee.
