Location was great. Booking and paying for early check in, valet parking and the room was a bit messy because the every time I was at the counter, the staff tried to charge me for what I had already paid, multiple times. In the room we noticed a half eaten sandwich in the fridge. So from that we didn’t know what belonged to the Minnie bar or what was from the previous guest. Then our tv exploded and we were basically told ‘to bad, sorry’. There was no effort to rectify the issue at all. We basically just got up in the morning and left the hotel.

Given a twin disabled room. Shower curtain too short and not able to go around the showering area, water everywhere. No bench space, no lid on toilet, very narrow beds, no tea towel, no cloth to clean up with, coffee in packets were moist, no biscuits or water. Over priced for a below standard room.

The hotel had all we really needed. Love how the room was spacious. The only down side i would say is if the lights in the room were of a warmer tone, that would have been even nicer.

It's not the first time I've noticed it, hadn't stayed here for a while but nothing has changed. Firstly check in had no recognition of ALL Accor member status None of the usual 'Welcome back', welcome to hotel, small gift etc in the room (vary rarely does it ever happen here, most hotels never fail to have something). At breakfast I'm told Novotel Geelong doesn't include coffee with the Platinum breakfast. Again very different to every other hotel I've stayed at. I purposely try to use Accor brands wherever I stay (have been platinum for a long time for that reason) but I don't think that will be the case for Geelong anymore, I'll use another chain. Novotel Geelong management needs to go and visit any other Accor chain hotel and see how things should be done.

Our biggest problem was the parking.Inconvenient & too expensive.

There was opbnly one chair in the room. Room was clean. We were surprised we were charged for water taken from the fridge. It was the same water available from the benchtop in the room.

We booked in and our room had smell in the room. Also the a/c controls not really effective as the room was stuffy. Also the a/c was very noisey. That really upset our night.

we went to breakfast ordered soft poached eggs After 60 minutes asked wait staff how long we were told its coming still waiting so after 85 minutes they arrived cold and hard By this time we were over it Stay at Novotel a lot but now think we will look for other accommodation There were 4 of us and all cold breakfast As well it took a long time for fruit platters to be stocked VERY poor After we told reception when booking out she gave us $20 off our car parking but we were just wanting to enjoy breakfast with our friends

I was staying in Geelong for an Country Engineers Weekend. The rooms were clean, roomy and pleasant. The breakfast staff were excellent. Car parking is quite expensive and there is no on-site car park.

I've stayed here before and it's the best location for staying Geelong with direct access to the waterfront and such a short walk to eastern beach, the CBD and Wool Museum, Art Gallery, etc. I can't wait to see the new extension to the hotel which opens in 2027 but I think the rooms in the existing part of the hotel facing the waterfront with the balconies remain the best.

When I checked in I was asked if I want to include breakfast. I suggested that I would like to have a look first before I commit to paying for breakfast. I was told that if I don't pay for it then and there at check in, it would cost me an extra $12. What would be the difference if I liked what I saw and paid the next day. I don't understand the policy of paying $12 more seeing I am paying and staying at the hotel anyway.
