stay was average We did know that there was works going on but didn't know they started at 7.30 am Very loud and sone of the yelling was not needed by workers Also felt the room was not clean the front of fridge had marks and someone had spilt something on the chair which hadn't been cleaned

In room 602 the construction noise started just after 7am and didn’t stop until late afternoon. There was no information about this when we booked The general manager texted to say there may be some noise between 8am and 5pm and as our booking wasn’t refundable by then we thought it’d be ok. Saying that there may be some noise was a gross understatement. There was unbearable noise from 7am and it went all day so we couldn’t even nap during the day. The construction was so close to our window we could have touched the skip as it went past. Rooms ending in 02 should not be being used during the construction. There was no excuse for putting us in this unbearable room. Ruining our trip. Extremely unhappy

My stay at Novotel Geelong was very nice, staff were great, restaurant was convenient, room was comfortable. Unfortunately new building was noisy at 8am which wasn’t terrible for me as I’m an early riser. Parking was expensive with little choices making stay overall quite expensive.
