I’m very pleased to hear that you found our team lovely and that the anniversary gift added a special touch to your stay; the team will appreciate your kind words. I’m truly sorry, however, that several aspects of your visit fell short of expectations. The dated feel of the room, the unexpected building works and, most concerning, cigarette smoke entering through the bathroom vent are all issues that should not have impacted your stay. You absolutely should have been informed of any works in advance, and the smoke intrusion is unacceptable. I’ve raised this with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so we can address the source and prevent this from happening again. I understand why these disruptions affected your overall experience, even if you were out for much of your stay. Your feedback is important, and it helps us improve both our communication and the comfort of our rooms. Thank you again for sharing your experience so openly.
