I have previously stayed in the newer rooms and our heritage room did not feel like the same value. It felt claustrophobic and the window barely opened. We requested a later checkout and the carpark was empty when we left but were told this could not be accommodated as it has been on previous stays

A couple of points: - Room smelled very moldy. Found the issue was in the bathroom. Mold in the Spa and on the floor. - Couch was ripped - Shelf in bathroom falling off wall. If not for the fantastic staff, I would have rated it a 2. There are much better places to stay in Lorne for less money.

We both fully enjoyed the accommodation, the room was lovely although a couple of comfortable chairs would have been a bonus so the we could have sat and read in the evening!

The furniture in the rooms are old and material on the couches are coming apart a paint job would brighten it up. Hallways need a good vacuum, dust 5/10 for overall cleanliness.
