Went for a 4 day stay in winter. Lorne was quiet but scored great weather. Mantra one bedroom apartment was very clean comfortable and easy walk to most points in Lorne.

Loved the location , Reception staff lovely but disappointed in the standard of our room . Broken blind , paint off sliding door in bathroom , kitchen drawer had medications from previous guest , room photos not like actual room , we looked into a car park couldn’t even use our balcony to sit on as locked with no key . Definately not up to Mantra standard and we have stayed at a lot .

I would like to say we had a fantastic stay as it was my wife’s 50th birthday celebration and it was a surprise . Amy was fantastic as she arranged our accommodation and also a complimentary bottle of wine and a beautiful card . Her service was outstanding throughout our stay . My wife left her boots behind and Amy was kind enough as she live close by to drop them in to us a week later . Thank you Amy for making us stay so fantastic

Cleaning was not to the Mantra's usual standard. First 2 nights woke up to no heating, room was not what I expected from photos and staying at this location previously. After second night with no heating in the morning we were able to move to another room/block - much nicer and more in line with my expectations and what I thought I had book.

Great spot walking distance to everything in town.

We realize that covid 19 restricted facilities, however we booked the tennis court only to find that the computer had mal functioned and the court had been double booked. Also cooking facilities were less than adequate.

I always prefer Lorne in winter & Mantra is best accommodation in town: far fewer annoying noisy tourists crowding the many nooks & crannies you wish to relax in. Mmm, just thinking about my multiple stays with Mantra Lorne makes my neck muscles let go!

Check in was easy, even during COVID-19, staff were friendly and informative about cafes and restaurants that were open, unfortunately Larder at the Mantra was closed due to COVID. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Will definitely be back

We have never been so cold in a hotel room. We rang reception and a person came and switched the heating on after a maintenance person failed to show up. However although we kept the heaters on in the evening they were switched off through the night somehow.

Disappointed that heater had not been switched on only 3 parties booked in for the day so staff were not too busy. No milk in fridge

Room was very small, and very cold. Dirty glasses and only one water glass. Room was not very clean with another guests rubbish left in a drawer. Could not access the shower as the bath was too steep for my mobility.

Disappointed in room standards

Ladies weekend away was disappointing as the room we were staying was run down and cleaning standards were poor. Microwave front fell off, glasses had lipstick on them, toaster full of crumbs, sheets had sand in them? No toilet paper, no plug for spa tub, couch dirty, just to name a few. One tube of body wash to share between 3 ladies with 2 bathrooms.

I booked an ocean view room and was disappointed that it was not the same view as on the website. Instead we had a tennis court in front of us and buildings all around. If we had the blinds up the windows had no sheers so everyone else could see right in. What is the point of paying for an ocean view to have to keep the blinds shut because there is no sheers? Also there is minor maintenance that could be done, the place is looking tired. I had to keep going back to ask for more sugar and tea in the welcome pack, please provide a decent amount for a 2 day stay. Also one toilet roll? Seriously? No bin liner in the bathroom bin. The apartment was freezing when we arrived, someone could have turned the heating on prior to us arriving, it took us 12 hours to properly heat the place, it was freezing. No milk in the fridge. All these things add up to a disappointing stay. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly though. Another big problem is that the bed was on castors that allowed it to keep moving. This is very unstable for my disabled husband and a fall risk. Secure the bed and lock it in place please. Also the lamp near the dining table was faulty. The place was clean and very presentable though even though there was a tired look about it.
