The Mercure Orange is always a pleasant stay - two minutes from the Autoroute and a nice (flat & straight) 10/15 minute walk in to Orange centre. The staff are always very friendly and professional, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant this stay but whenever we have, it's always good ! Plenty of free & safe parking

Ugly buildings, rooms are ok, front desk by check in and around 10:00 pm NO service Check in the „lady“ stood outside smoking, no one at 10:00 pm on service Only the restaurant and food and service are „ok“ At least 200 letters, ridiculously, so laaaaaaaaba laaaaaaba

We had two stays over the last two weeks so let's go with the positives first. The staff are VERY helpful, particularly the reception staff. The rooms are clean and the bathroom/toilet appeared to have been refurbed fairly recently. Evening food was lovely and the breakfasts were the usual buffet selection. However, on our first stay, our dinner bill had been added to our room despite me paying direct to the restaurant staff. Fortunately, I had kept my receipt. The bath towels are ridiculously thin. On our second visit, our room appeared to have been flooded recently with water staining on the wood surrounds. We had mosquitoes in our ground floor room facing the woods. I know mosquitoes are an issue in Provence but none of the other hotels we used had a problem. As for charging 40E for an upgrade to a Privilege room, we experienced both and I wouldn't bother. The rooms are exactly the same size and all you seem to get for your money is bath robes/slippers, a few soft drinks in the fridge and a room much closer to reception. Don't bother with an "upgrade". Overall, alright for an overnight but I won't be rushing back.
