I don't anticipate for Airport hotel to be fancy but at least at good shape. Very small room enough to put a bed. The shower door handle kept falling off from the inside. The walls were scuffed and damaged in places. There was a power outlet next to only one bed; the same applied to the light switches. The air conditioner didn't work.

The floor on all the way to the rooms was extremely dirty, the room was not in good condition, any noise from outside could be heard as loud as without any door. The only half-positive thing was a very efficient, but unfriendly guy at the reception.

We were very disappointed with the service during our stay at ibis Airport Sofia (11–12 September, room 505). At 8:30am, while we were still asleep, a housekeeper loudly knocked on our door and then proceeded to knock on other rooms. This was very disruptive and inappropriate at that time of the morning. Breakfast was even more disappointing. We arrived at around 9:30am, when breakfast was advertised until 11:00am, but several items were unavailable. Despite repeatedly asking for the bakery products to be replenished, we were initially told that breakfast finished at 10:00am. Reception later confirmed that breakfast was indeed until 11:00am, but even after this clarification, the items were still not replenished after another 10 minutes. It was particularly disappointing to see a member of the kitchen staff eating her own breakfast while guests were waiting for food to be replenished. As an Accor Platinum member for two years, I have experienced many examples of excellent service across Accor hotels. Unfortunately, the service during this stay was one of the poorest experiences I have had within the group. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and improve the level of service and attention to guests.

1 Star — Extremely Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, our stay was a terrible experience from the moment we arrived. When we got to the hotel, there was nowhere to stop in front of the hotel to unload our luggage. What made it even worse was that the staff did not want to let us stop there even for a minute just to quickly unload our bags. They showed no concern or care about the amount of luggage we had or how we were supposed to get it inside. The staff was also rude and appeared to be very poorly trained, making the entire experience even more frustrating. To make matters worse, there was no power in the hotel for about an hour. On top of that, there was no extra blanket available in the room, which was another disappointment. Overall, this hotel fell far below our expectations. Between the rude and unhelpful staff, the complete lack of concern for guests and their luggage, the power outage, and the lack of basic accommodations, this was an awful experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone—not even my worst enemy.

The hotel is very well located, just a 5-minute shuttle ride from Terminal 2. The hotel conveniently provides shuttle service every 20 minutes. The staff is very professional and friendly. My only con is that the room was missing some periodic maintenance (the shower door couldn’t close, and the floor could have been cleaner). One of the big pluses is the free breakfast. The variety and quality of the food were higher than any paid breakfast at higher-class American hotels, all at no additional charge. Overall, a good experience. I recommend it.

Very pleasant hotel, the service is great with very friendly and helpful staff. The shuttle bus is very fast and the drivers are very responsive, friendly and helpful. I was traveling every day to Terminal 2 and using metro to reach the city. It was great experience and keep up the great job!Thank you very much!

I stayed for one night, the room was clean. Upon arrival, I waited for the shuttle bus from the airport around 30 minutes. I think it was because I was the only passenger at the time and the stuff waited for someone else to appear. Still, it was not very pleasant since it was after 11 p.m. and I was alone.

It was a nice hotel with a great location near the airport; however, it is way too expensive. The room was basic and small, not that clean either. The breakfast was ok, not the largest selection, though, but tasty. We ordered dinner in the restaurant and waited an hour for the food to arrive. Again, the prices were extortionate. We booked the free transfer to the airport in the morning, and the driver was late by over 10 minutes.
