The hotel is very well located, just a 5-minute shuttle ride from Terminal 2. The hotel conveniently provides shuttle service every 20 minutes. The staff is very professional and friendly. My only con is that the room was missing some periodic maintenance (the shower door couldn’t close, and the floor could have been cleaner). One of the big pluses is the free breakfast. The variety and quality of the food were higher than any paid breakfast at higher-class American hotels, all at no additional charge. Overall, a good experience. I recommend it.

Very pleasant hotel, the service is great with very friendly and helpful staff. The shuttle bus is very fast and the drivers are very responsive, friendly and helpful. I was traveling every day to Terminal 2 and using metro to reach the city. It was great experience and keep up the great job!Thank you very much!

I stayed for one night, the room was clean. Upon arrival, I waited for the shuttle bus from the airport around 30 minutes. I think it was because I was the only passenger at the time and the stuff waited for someone else to appear. Still, it was not very pleasant since it was after 11 p.m. and I was alone.

It was a nice hotel with a great location near the airport; however, it is way too expensive. The room was basic and small, not that clean either. The breakfast was ok, not the largest selection, though, but tasty. We ordered dinner in the restaurant and waited an hour for the food to arrive. Again, the prices were extortionate. We booked the free transfer to the airport in the morning, and the driver was late by over 10 minutes.

My wife and I stayed for one night at the Ibis Sofia Airport hotel, and from the check-in process to the overall stay, everything was a complete disaster. First, it is unacceptable for a receptionist at an international hotel chain not to know any major international languages like English, French, or Spanish. Walking from the airport to the hotel, the outdoor directional signs directed us to the back service area instead of the main entrance. Following the signs not only made our walk unnecessarily long, but we also ended up entering through a loading dock area. When we went to the front desk to explain the issue and show them the misleading sign, the staff member flatly refused to even stand up, displaying a completely indifferent and rude attitude. This hotel is far from professional standards and is a true embarrassment to the Accor group. Do not stay here.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We needed a room close to the airport because we had a very early morning flight and we have a baby and a young child. We booked a single room with 2 double beds and requested a baby crib. We arrived to the hotel and the employee claims we booked 2 rooms. I kindly asked how is that possible since we are a family and only needed one room, which we booked. I showed him receipts and screenshots, and he continued to insist we booked 2 rooms and the room that we booked actually does not exist! Interesting how that is possible! Terrible customer service, terrible attitudes. We were then given our room keys to 2 rooms that had an adjoining door. It is now 8 PM, and the electricity in one of the rooms were not working. No lights, complete darkness, WITH 2 CHILDREN! We notified the front desk there was a problem, which then led them to find out a fuse was tripped, and our power was restored at 9:30 PM. Also, we tried to book their complimentary shuttle service to the airport. We were told there was no space for us in a 2 hour window of our flight. The employee actually said “I don’t know what to tell you you.” I could not believe how terrible of an experience this was. I would not stay here again if it was given to me for free. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The hotel was ill prepared for all guests staying on a given night. A large group checked in and the receptionist said the restaurant was not open for everyone else due to staffing issues. So the group gets fed - and actually finds insects in the vinegar and oil decanters. so they ordered delivery from nearby pizza places. and hours later, the restaurant opens for other guests.
